Beware of Ruger 15 and 25 round magazines. I have 2 Ruger 1022 rifles and a 22 caliber Ruger Precision 8400 bolt gun. I bought two each of the Ruger brand 15 and 25 magazines, and one of the 15s came with the 8400. NONE of those magazines fit any of my Ruger 22 rifles. They rattle around in the mag wells. I complained to Ruger customer service, but they are unable to replace the magazines due to my lovely home state of ILLinois' new law prohibiting heavy-duty jucy-Judy dangerous "high-capacity" mass shooting sniper magazines. Ruger offered to trade me a pocket full of 10 round mags. No thanks. So, if you buy defective Ruger mags, and live in occupied territory, you may just be s.o.l.
Ruger out-glocked Glock with the Ruger RXM. And then they are just as complacent as Glock with their own product line. The 10/22 needs the same upgrade treatment that the 22/45 got with the mk4 version. It needs to be user friendly, quick disassembly and cleaning. And there, the Tandemkross ManticoreX with the upper and lower without a chassis stole their bread. And so did the Fletcher open-top 11/22. Everybody out-rugers the Ruger.
They just need an integrally suppressed carbon break down 10/22 now I think they have everything else. They have the Integrally suppressed break down I believe but if you need a tax stamp that stinks so make a carbon break down with a threaded barrel and the cool stock with storage. Nice video!
They may have, but the problem is, sales of that product would rely strictly on waiting for a tax stamp approval. Although, currently, that time frame wouldn't be long, it will get back to that 'over a year wait time' that we used to have. Slow sales.
I hate to be Billy Buzz Kill. But I bought one of these last week. $500 plus the governors share. Bought at a great shop in El Dorado Springs Missouri. Straight to the range in Neosho. Inspected then pulled a bore snake through. CCI Standard. Norma Tac. Aguila Super Extra. 150 rounds downrange, probably ejected 10 rounds total, the rest hung out in the receiver or didn't make it out of the chamber. Actually probably only 75 fired the rest got all mashed up and littered the range floor. Shot 4 1/2 foot low 2 foot left at 50 yards. Huh? With a known good VX3i Leupold in a one piece Leupold mount that came straight off another 10/22. Maxed out the elevation, still a foot low. Screws that retain the v-block. One came out super hard with metal shavings present. Chewed up the receiver. Left chatter marks on the barrel. Barrel very tight in the receiver. Didn't pull it Canted down .060" from front to back. Guess that's where the shooting low comes in. Cleaned and lighty lubed the bolt that wasn't sticky. Still won't eject spent shell casings. Hot garbage. E-mailed Ruger but haven't heard back yet. Super disappointed. I'm a fan boy with a stack of 10/22's and other Ruger products from the early 80's to the present. Hey Ruger. Dropped the ball on this one. Big time. Extremely disappointed.
Bear Arms! Great store! I’m not far from you. Over by Pomme de Terre lake area. I’m probably as surprised as you were to hear the trouble you had with a 10/22. I would be curious if ruger takes care of you like they should. I would call them daily. That’s bs
I had new one that shot low left and wouldn’t sight in with open sites. I sent it back to Roger, and they sent me a replacement. I’m thinking they will treat you right. Keep us posted.
Here in Australia, I am used to referring to what you call a "match" rifle as a "target" rifle and what you call a "target" rifle as a "hunting" rifle. However, I am smart enough to translate what you say. Blessings from down under.
fun video, I bought and still have a Ruger 10/22 that I bought (guessing) in 1970. I forget the price, it was on sale at local gun store for either $39.99 or $49.99, I was tempted to go with the Ruger 44 mag carbine as I recall but it was $79.99 and I pretty poor then. Within a year or two I picked up a Ruger Security 6 357 mag for $99.99 at the same store. I still have them and they are excellent condition. I envy your personal range.
@@AnyoneSeenMikeHunt You may be right. I have enjoyed owning my 10/22 for over 50 years. It was just so pleasing to hear the presenter be so respectful of the model line.
And the open-top 11/22 and ManticoreX. And the TacSol X-Ring. Everybody is better than Ruger these days. Which is a shame, the mk4 22/45 is perfect. One button to disassemble and clean. And the 10/22 stays a nightmare, you either buy aftermarket or you are stuck with a 40 year outdated design...
You fired about a hundred cartridges in around 2.5 minutes. Is that not hard on the barrel? Asking for those of us who can't afford to abuse and replace barrels. Was that abuse?
I don't know how Ruger does it! I also have a 10-22 with X-22 stock and Vorq carbon fiber sleeved barrel, but my setup is 5 lbs... How to shave off that 1.5 lbs?!
"What kind of instrument do you play?"
"Steel plates"

2:15 give me a little “Mary had a little lamb!” 🤣😎 Love it! Sweet rifle!

I work in carbon fiber manufacturing. We make barrels for some companies. I really like the chopped tow effect; it looks really nice.
Always do enjoy your videos 💪🫡

I’m pretty sure they did a week or two ago

Exactly what I was thinking end with an accurate barrel.
All of my factory 10/22 barrels are mehhhh
In Australia, the ONLY thing on that setup that isn't BANNED is the red dot.
@@OhSodditwhen first visited Australia 30 years ago I was in a post office in Queensland and you could buy an SKS over the counter 😮
awesome. just got done shooting my binary charger, always a ton of fun.

Plinkster probably got an extremely polished model.

$49.99 in 1970 is equivalent to $404.24 today.

Love the stock!
Right on guy thanks for another video✌
i'm going to hit 500m this week with my Savage MKII and SK long range match ammo
Nice rifle for sure! Great video
TD model will be nice
That looks awesome
Bet this would be a good squirrel rifle.
Probably still a bit heavy for a squirrel to pack...
Make it a removable top action, and it will be perfect.
You are going to end up on a hill above your backdrop from all your brass lol 😂 😂😂😂
You should do a review on the magnum research switchbolt

$650 for a .22 seems steep
And I was thinking why don’t you do trick shots anymore and then you shoot a gulf ball out of the air! But can it split a card?
No SHOT show?
What are you running for an optic?
I’ve been waitiiiing lol. Custom birch in the works?
