  • Apocalyptica's Eicca Toppinen and Perttu Kivilaakso talk to host Christina Rowatt about their next record, artistic independence, Metallica and how orchestras and classical musicians party much harder than rock musicians.
Finland's Apocalyptica play cellos to create classical metal music with intense emotion. They emerged in the mid-90's as an instrumental band specialising in Metallica covers. They have since evolved into a band that makes exceptional original songs as well. Their long-awaited next record Cell-0 is out in January 2020.

I love the way this interview flows, Christina you sound so natural when asking questions to these guys and they engage answering. Great interview and fun@

    Thank you Christina!
Apocalyptica are my favourite finnish band and their music helped me a lot. It’s so nice to see them in an conversation rather than an Interview. (Also, I am hoping for an indepth coverage of the new NeO album as soon as its within reach. I enjoy your conversations with them a lot.)
