"The amount of ships, planning, resources that it would take... she couldn't... they couldn't" Looking back, this was the story of a fleet being chased for two months, nothing said about their worlds being burned. So in likelihood, they were sold out by their nation in appeasement for the actions of a foolish admiral on a first contact situation. They were just kept in the dark while their position was given to humanity
An eye for an eye, I hope to make the world blind, Fight Fire with Fire, i would burn your world even Brighter. Nothing more, Nothing less, No more losses nor success. I hope we will meet in the afterLife, just for me to do it all over again. -That one human.
I always found that whole "eye for an eye" thing to be stupid. If you always only retaliate with the equal measure of what you were assaulted with, your enemy can always make a calculated risk assessment. Now if you were to retaliate with 10 times the force THEN you have a deterrent against future aggression.
@@TJCID22 Rule as written vs Rule as intended. I believe the meaning behind the saying was that punishment should be proportional, as in do not punish someone more than what they deserve. (Rai) Later it was interpreted literally, as in take from them exactly what they took from you. (Raw)
All they had to do is answer the hail and say get off our land and that would have been the end of it but nope had to just destroy the outpost typical argent alien.

"Another transmission coming in....oh,no. It's the Human paperboy...."
"Two dollars!"
I do love it when the aliens learn the hard way JUST HOW PETTY AND UNRELENTING humans can be
If you take more than one eye, then you're a cheatsy-doodle.
If you take too many teeth, you're nothing more than a gosh darned bully!
That's the LAW.

An eye for an eye? No. Both eyes for an eye
Those pesky numbers....
Fuck, I'd they take an eye then the response is just self defense. Make sure they won't be taking anymore eyes. Ever.
Eye for an eye
Tooth for a tooth
And evil for evil
Payback is a b**ch, ain't it? 😂😂
I would guess they didn't check for children. Pity that.
