I learned about Steve Reich for the first time when I accidentally bought an album of his called "Music for 18 Musicians" in 1980 and it impacted me. Reich is hypnotic, of course. Has always remained faithful to minimalism, sometimes to exhausting extremes. This work (which is from 1988) is a good example. I like Reich.
