I feel like part of the problem is also people don’t understand how the critics score works. The 53% score indicates how many of the critics recommend the film, not their overall score. However, I do agree, the number next to a splatter or tomato shouldn’t matter, just enjoy the movies you enjoy! My favourite movie of the year so far also has a score in the 50s, didn’t stop me from enjoying it.

I problem with critics nowadays is that a lot of them will take their subjective views and personal tastes (they're allowed to have them btw), and then treat them as if they're somehow objective facts. Like of course the new Godzilla X Kong movie wasn't serious or grounded-in-reality like Minus One was, it was never meant to be. Both of these movies are going for completely different genres, and just because you personally like one, it doesn't mean that the other one is worse only because it wasn't your "cup of tea." It just means that it wasn't tailored to your specific tastes.
TL;DR
It's perfectly okay to like and dislike specific genres and movies. However, don't treat people who like what you don't like as if they're somehow "wrong."

I do know everyone has their own opinions, but critics abuse their opinions so they can get their check (that is a huge middle finger toward us Godzilla fans).

Critics I don’t take seriously cause a lot of them especially on rotten tomatoes are always gonna have different taste when it comes to films. It’s a huge reason why I look at specific reviewers when it comes to stuff like this cause in that case u know what they’re looking for. For me personally I thought the movie was ok. There were a lot of problems in the film but there was also a lot that I enjoyed about it but overall definitely nowhere near a bad movie. Plus it’s soo funny how they’ll give GxK a 59% cause they can’t turn their brains off but they’ll give the halo season 2 a series that has strayed far from its own source material a 94%.
