1:49 my heart broke. Because it's a very comfortable car and a lot spacious. The car has completed 95000 km and it runs still smooth. This car can be given 3rd place maybe.
Me too , I was watching this for fiesta . This review is only with big cars on space . Fiesta outsmart every one on an average. The engine , economy, power, drivers enthusiacstic of , everything is working for fiesta yet its not included also discontinued in india .
I only see comparisons on the diesel engines, these days. Please do a similair comparison on the petrol variants !!!!!! the fuel price difference is not as huge as before !!
I really wanted u guys to compare fiesta with the other cars , just bcoz of less spaced u guys discarded it.I think it's way better than the ciaz,though the ciaz is a spacious car but I think this car still needs a bigger engine.Rapid is an exceptional car but who will pay for the service cost.
If Fiat lends the 1.6 Multijet to Suzuki before planting it in its own Linea or any other model in India, I'll switch to some other brand from Fiat. :(

I just don't get it. After sales service of Skoda is high, but the build quality is good and people are ready to pay a premium. I dont buy a 1.3liter engine for 10lakhs.The c segment is where the consumers equation changes. Those parameters would suit hatches. If I love to drive, I go for the superb. And for all those doctors who do need a plus sign to ride can get a dsg automatic which is awesome. If I'd like to be chauffeur driven, i still go for rapid in spite of not being as airy as the ciaz, that's because you know we are brand conscious. Finally happy to see a new segment leader!
gopikrishna swargam German cars are always good in safety and built quailty. They have to pass the tests there. Not like Marutis. Skoda feels like a tank and runs like a jet.
It's difficult to compare between Ciaz, Rapid and City. City has an amazing legacy in India , being the most popular sedan in India. You just feel so proud driving the highly reputed Honda City. You just enjoy driving Rapid so much that you don't feel like stopping. Ciaz is a really good car overall, the most premium Maruti car with plenty of features. But I'd buy the Ciaz any day because of Maruti's trust, cheap pricing, good resale value, reasonable maintenance charges and excellent fuel efficiency. Skoda's resale value is very poor and maintenance charges for the City and Rapid are outrageous.

my suggestion is- 1. buy honda city- for it's looks & comfort. it is a status symbol. 2. buy skoda rapid- for its built quality & powerful engine. & if u are a true enthusiast of Driving.

Sköda Rapid is the new segment leader according to me, just the solid feel from the moment one opens its door spells QUALITY, the design is understated and evergreen. The Suzuki on the other hand is absolutely powerless, suzuki is employing the same diesel engine in all its cars right from the swift to ciaz, cheap build quality, poor aesthetics. And perhaps regarding the after sales service, the notion needs to be changed as sköda is taking the customer seriously now. It's high time people grow over the Japanese and Korean counterparts.
Maruti offers the same diesel engine on hatchbacks, sub four metre sedans and saloons just tuned differently. Verna's ride quality and suspension is no way nearer to vw and city. And while city looses on its engine's noise and poor performace, its Rapid and Vento which score in every area. Impeccable build quality and premium finish. Maintenance is no longer an issue since bot vw and skoda have decreased their spare parts cost. Germans are known for their detailing and vento is just a perfect example of that. You know you are safe in a vw!
I just booked a ciaz after lot of test drive and mix match..... Over all mileage space looks service cost etc are best in it Only a small compromise of power that too very less noticeable difference when compared with city After all maruthi is a grown up kid now
A refreshed comparison today will surely tell a different story... RAPID has become so much more after d facelift. Ciaz is a tin can, n more importantly not all dat great to drive(which shld be priority)
My New Hyundai Verna was the obvious choice. I recommend you to drive it before you come to a conclusion as Ciaz which was supposedly the chosen car here was not good to drive at all !

The best thing remember to choose a car is the Engine. There is no comparison with Honda Engine .So the clear winner in this segment is Honda City only.
No problem if vento is not there, because u have got its other twin sibling Rapid. It is not fair to compare Vento with city yaris ciaz or verna, because it's just like comparing men with school boys. Vento is a heavy weight car and gives high class ride and safety. If people wants quality and safety then its Vento. If vento looks dated, please don't forget brother Taj Mahal is built 400 years ago. Moreover Japanese cars looks as beautiful as Japanese are, Japanese cars are for mass, German cars are for royal class. It's very unfortunate nobody ever mentioned the weights of the cars

City has the better rear seat and is also the better car to drive ! If budget and ease if maintainance is a person's concern then he would buy the ciaz ! Else city is easily the best !

Rapid is a clear winner here. After sales and service of Skoda have improved a lot. You can see that both the reviewers were point blank after they said about ass of rapid because there is no other thing that can go negative about the car. Also the true potential of rapid can be seen by the fact that it was introduced in 2011 and in 2015 too without much changes its standing on the top! Think what will happen to the competition after European facelift hits the Indian market ;)
Best Petrol Car: 1-Honda City 2-Linea 3- Verna Best Diesel Car : 1-Rapid/Vento 2-Verna 3- Fiesta But if you can spend a little extra just buy a Chevrolet Cruze. :)

you get the same performance, but it is highly dangerous. think about it as push and pull. RWD's push, while FWD's pull. the pulling effect at such high speeds puts a lot of stress on the body of the car.
I personally love the fiesta but it became costly by more than a lakh this year and ford isn't too interested in selling it rather than exporting it from India. Also no advertisement for this car whatsoever. Would consider Ciaz over it now just for the sheer space, decent looks, fuel economy and features. Its vfm proposition is what makes it a winner though.
Ciaz is the best with a very good styling, spacious cabin, great features, high quality interior etc.The engine seems to be very smooth and refined and the cabin is well insulated.The handling and travelling comfort is superb in ciaz.Even though it is 89 bhp it wont feel under powered at all..It feels more powerful than ertiga which I owns before..Now ciaz has come with their hybrid version which claims having fuel efficiency of 29 km per liter..Hats off to the new SHVS by Maruti suzuki..I am very sure that this will be a great success in the Indian market..

I test drive all those 4 top cars. And finally got the Rapid top end manual. In silver colour. Damn its super stable and drives like a little sports car. So nimble and fast and superb to handle. Great on city and highway. Added point - the music system on the car is as loud as the on on my friends bmw. Not kidding. Awesome sound. Must experience it. In terms of music system , all three cars are a fail in front of rapid.
I find it very odd for every review on the internet calling out 1gb internal memory in hyundai verna. Does anyone know how this actually helps a driver in real world scenarios? Syncing songs to my pen drive or phone and playing them over bluetooth or aux usb seems straight fwd. how does the 1gb actually help? Also They say "updated" bluetooth in adverts but no one really verifies if it actually adds value... The updated verna still does not support changing songs over bluetooth. Whereas the polo and vento versions though they have the old looks, they support changing songs over bluetooth. Functionality wise they are more well rounded and user friendly button layout... @autocar folks : Any chance we could incorporate these details into the video reviews from end user perspective rather than calling out names of features?
At last some pointed out the truth. That 1gb memory is a joke and all the reviewers are highlighting it as if its a new technology. Seriously whats the cost of 1 GB memory card or a pen drive.

Anand Shankar I Own the new verna 4S, But have never used the internal 1GB memory. And I dont care for that either. I also dont use the USB much. I have all my music on my phone and stream it via bluetooth. I would like to correct you on the Bluetooth part. I can as easily skip songs using the steering mounted controls as using the phone. The only gripe I have with the Bluetooth is I cannot connect more than one device simultaneously to the music system.
After watching many reviews in 2015 June we bought Diesel Honda City...but no one then & even now reviewed headlights... Honda City is partially blind at nights... Now only in topend they provide LED.. On highways it's very hard to drive above 90kmph as the cattle/parked vehicles are not visible.. I'll say Tata Vista headlights were far better than Honda City's headlights. Please do review night time visibility of the cars..

It is so ironic that an entire category of Entry level midsize Sedans has vanished in India. The cars like Manza (about to be discontinued), Sail, Verito, SX4 (discontinued), Etios don't have a ground beneath them any more.After the Sub-4 m sedans coming (which is by the way a category we welcome,and so do the manufacturers thanks to the tax benefits), you have to either go for the pricey 10 lac cars or settle down with the sub 4 m sedans. The car makers should understand that people still want to buy the entry level sedans which are actually the proper family budget sedans without any compromise on space,comfort or performance. for example, there is a huge gap now between the base Dzire Lxi (5.08 lac) and top end Ciaz Zxi+ (9.65 Lac). Indian Auto industry though is a tricky place.
+Shubham Kumar The Fiesta was designed in Europe as a hatchback, and that is really how it shines, not as a sedan. The sedan look clumpsy, and as explained in the review the space in the back seat is cramped compared to the other contenders.
Ankita Sorry if dis is too late.. but have to disagree on d maintenance part... coz although the cost of parts is high.. the maintenance needs are far fewer... you won't need to rush to d service centre every now & then. Plus the impeccable build & superb handling clearly make d RAPID a winner. Especially so after the recnt facelift. 🍻
the only thing that spoils thos and some other videos is the music soundtrack which is way too loud. it makes it difficult at times to hear what's being said.

This review was good enough but incomplete. The 2015 Vento should have been present. I think the new vento beats all these. Please try and do a comparison of the top four against the vento. Waiting for the new vento to be reviewed anyways.
prashant surgoniwar its been 8 months.. but seeing dis had to reply..The dsg is great to drive at first.. but the dsg used here is the dq 200 which has a bad rep. Has given several problems on the superb. Rapid bein budget my concerns are only magnified.
do a test drive of all of them and will know the difference immediately. skoda simply clever.....over and out. i own a octavia 2015 automatic and i can say in mumbai its service in comparison to a honda or toyota is like stone age. but there is no drop in quality standards. also its a hassle of once a yr come on big deal. and pple talking of cost of maintenance is really not fully true. honda has a 3 monthly/quarterly service of 3 to 4 k .....maruti is the cheapest but not so cheap. skoda and vw have a yrly service which will cost u around 8 k-10k anually. i wont mind paying 2k more per yr for the safety and ride quality.

plus, there is a need for traction, which is visibly less in a FWD car. Why do you think FWD has so much understeer problems?

Ciaz is the best with a very good styling, spacious cabin, great features, high quality interior etc.The engine seems to be very smooth and refined and the cabin is well insulated.The handling and travelling comfort is superb in ciaz.Even though it is 89 bhp it wont feel under powered at all..It feels more powerful than ertiga which I owns before..Now ciaz has come with their hybrid version which claims having fuel efficiency of 29 km per liter..Hats off to the new SHVS by Maruti suzuki..I am very sure that this will be a great success in the Indian market..

No one talks about CIAZ 1.3 LTR engine which is very less powerful compared 2 others.
I test drive all those 4 top cars. And finally got the Rapid top end manual. In silver colour. Damn its super stable and drives like a little sports car. So nimble and fast and superb to handle. Great on city and highway. Added point - the music system on the car is as loud as the on on my friends bmw. Not kidding. Awesome sound. Must experience it. In terms of music system , all three cars are a fail in front of rapid.

I find it very odd for every review on the internet calling out 1gb internal memory in hyundai verna. Does anyone know how this actually helps a driver in real world scenarios? Syncing songs to my pen drive or phone and playing them over bluetooth or aux usb seems straight fwd. how does the 1gb actually help?
Also They say "updated" bluetooth in adverts but no one really verifies if it actually adds value... The updated verna still does not support changing songs over bluetooth. Whereas the polo and vento versions though they have the old looks, they support changing songs over bluetooth. Functionality wise they are more well rounded and user friendly button layout...

At last some pointed out the truth. That 1gb memory is a joke and all the reviewers are highlighting it as if its a new technology. Seriously whats the cost of 1 GB memory card or a pen drive.

Anand Shankar I Own the new verna 4S, But have never used the internal 1GB memory. And I dont care for that either. I also dont use the USB much. I have all my music on my phone and stream it via bluetooth. I would like to correct you on the Bluetooth part. I can as easily skip songs using the steering mounted controls as using the phone.
The only gripe I have with the Bluetooth is I cannot connect more than one device simultaneously to the music system.

After watching many reviews in 2015 June we bought Diesel Honda City...but no one then & even now reviewed headlights...
Honda City is partially blind at nights... Now only in topend they provide LED..
On highways it's very hard to drive above 90kmph as the cattle/parked vehicles are not visible..
I'll say Tata Vista headlights were far better than Honda City's headlights.
Please do review night time visibility of the cars..

It is so ironic that an entire category of Entry level midsize Sedans has vanished in India. The cars like Manza (about to be discontinued), Sail, Verito, SX4 (discontinued), Etios don't have a ground beneath them any more.After the Sub-4 m sedans coming (which is by the way a category we welcome,and so do the manufacturers thanks to the tax benefits), you have to either go for the pricey 10 lac cars or settle down with the sub 4 m sedans.
The car makers should understand that people still want to buy the entry level sedans which are actually the proper family budget sedans without any compromise on space,comfort or performance.
for example, there is a huge gap now between the base Dzire Lxi (5.08 lac) and top end Ciaz Zxi+ (9.65 Lac).
Indian Auto industry though is a tricky place.

+Shubham Kumar The Fiesta was designed in Europe as a hatchback, and that is really how it shines, not as a sedan. The sedan look clumpsy, and as explained in the review the space in the back seat is cramped compared to the other contenders.

Plus the impeccable build & superb handling clearly make d RAPID a winner. Especially so after the recnt facelift. 🍻
the only thing that spoils thos and some other videos is the music soundtrack which is way too loud. it makes it difficult at times to hear what's being said.
Skoda rapid is the best due to better build quality, the best gear bog i.e DSG, and world class brand and many more...!!!!

This review was good enough but incomplete. The 2015 Vento should have been present. I think the new vento beats all these. Please try and do a comparison of the top four against the vento. Waiting for the new vento to be reviewed anyways.

prashant surgoniwar its been 8 months.. but seeing dis had to reply..The dsg is great to drive at first.. but the dsg used here is the dq 200 which has a bad rep. Has given several problems on the superb. Rapid bein budget my concerns are only magnified.
do a test drive of all of them and will know the difference immediately. skoda simply clever.....over and out. i own a octavia 2015 automatic and i can say in mumbai its service in comparison to a honda or toyota is like stone age. but there is no drop in quality standards. also its a hassle of once a yr come on big deal. and pple talking of cost of maintenance is really not fully true. honda has a 3 monthly/quarterly service of 3 to 4 k .....maruti is the cheapest but not so cheap. skoda and vw have a yrly service which will cost u around 8 k-10k anually. i wont mind paying 2k more per yr for the safety and ride quality.
its ok to say Honda has Very noise engine but actually this is the one which performs well in really conditions. it is about diesel but what about Petrol which do you think is the best in the class?

ciaz has best ride quality it soaks bumps and potholes ease,but it lacks power.NVH levels are good in verna and next one is ciaz.
the final competition is between city and ciaz. And city wins because of HONDA brand (over Maruti). Period.
