They didn't show much of the garden with the unusual water feature, but I get why they liked the house. It was in a quiet place, the rooms were a good size, had everything they want. Although it's rare, I cringe when people buy a house with a busy street in front. It's dangerous for kids and pets, and the noise is terrible, and sometimes fumes from cars can make the house a gas chamber. Being near a highway is even worse, as bits of tires can float through the air like soot.
A good choice I think. Always like Phil's coats.

It got a good size, light, cheap, in good conditions and it's easy to updated it to their taste.

Apart from the prices, the thing that really dates this is the fact that they saw it 'in the paper' ... ah, the days before Right Move! :)

I live in Plymouth and there are much nicer properties for the same money but I wish them all the best. I may see them in Sainsburys!

Idiots. They almost lost the house they lived for 2 thousand dollars off the list price?!?! Like just pay 1-2 grand above asking and you get the dream house without any hassle or going over budget 🙄
