I like the chrome colored Sky Patrol vehicles. They're a good contrast to the original vehicles. I was too young to know that they were made from the same molds as a kid.
HOODED COBRA COMMANDER 788 I used to have the Green body of the SKYHAWK , when I lived in N.J. I lost the body in a move to S.C. I believe it was in my bestfiends box,mix with his Joes. I have the side wings, back wing, missles & jet. It was one of my favorites! I asked my Dad if could remake it,problem is he had no idea what it looked like so he end up making a cool looking Jet.(Will be featured in a later TH-cam video.) However, the 50th Anniversary of G.I.JOE brought it back, except it was bigger & came with SNAKE EYES & DUKE w/ his American Flag, jetpack and his gun. SNAKE EYES came with 2 oozies & a katana sword, with backpack to insert his sword. They change the name to GHOSTHAWK and it can carrier 5 G.I.JOES! Plus you can add 4 more missles, unfortunately it only came with 2 missles. I plain on making 4 more. There was one before it,but it looks alot different ,but the 50th Anniversary looks closer to the original.
Whoa, how cool is the Ghost Hawk! Awesome camouflage colors! (imagine the USS flagg's tower using the same color scheme!) ....I also like the original army green sky hawk, as well as the notion of reflective laser armor... ..all 3 are winners! How many skyhawks can fit on the deck of the USS flagg ???
Just like Tiger Force...they had stripes! You know, stripes! I'm glad we didn't get plaid force or checker force...Paisley Force! Great review! Thank you! I still prefer the Army green version, I like the realism, that's what attracted me in the first place. Although if I see a sky patrol version, I would buy it for my collection. I do have the Ghost Hawk that came with Snake Eyes in winter camouflage, it looks great and is definitely an upgrade.
When I picked up a Super Trooper action figure to replace the original one I lost, the comic book store I was shopping in had this for sale. I picked it up since I lost my original 1984 Sky Hawk many years ago. Like HCC 788, I tend to prefer the realistic military action figures & vehicles of G.I. Joe. While many of the 1990 and beyond vehicles look nice, their colors are somewhat off putting. I don't mind the science fiction inspired designs of some vehicles (The HAVOC and Sky Hawk are two of my favorite vehicles), the military based colors due factor into my purchasing them for my collection.
Sky Hoodie Coco , I Sky like the shiny look of Sky Sky Patrol Sky Sky Hawk. I Sky hope Sky you feel Sky better. This was a Sky Good Sky video. I had the Original Sky Hawk , but not the Sky Sky Patrol Sky Sky Hawk. Sky Thumbs Sky up , Sky -Bye.
I love the Sky Hawk, it was my first Joe vehicle. I don't like the chrome version though, the olive drab is the best..all though that Ghost Hawk looks pretty cool. Great review view, and love the foil suit lol!
Super Trooper is the face of the Sky Patrol war bond drive. Remember that many of the aircraft in the latter part of WWII, they were all shiney like The Anola Gay
Nice review! I'm not a big fan of Sky Patrol's other vehicles, but it's a nice update of the Sky Hawk. I think the chrome is too shiny. I'm more of a fan of the original versions.
6:27 Ahem...*LIKE* tin foil? Edit: Forgot to mention, though, the reflective surface might be a good deterrent for laser-guided munitions, too, and if you play your cards right it might even be useful to foil heat-seekers as well (though this doesn't look set up for that). I'm much more OK with aircraft being shiny than Super Troopers.
HCC, sadly HASBRO doesn't make GI JOE anymore. What would be awesome is if a third party toymaker could custom-make GI JOE figures/vehicles from an on-demand system! You choose what you want, ranging from $10 to $1,000 and send your check/money order to them. they DON'T make it until you order it (thus saving on overhead cost from unsold merchandise), and when you do, you get a brand-spanking new GI JOE item sent to you! Wouldn't that be the bomb? I, myself have ALWAYS wanted the shuttle launch playset! :-)
I wonder how many of these ended up with touches of model glue super glue holding on the parts that like to fall off without provocation when kids have these..... And I'm guilty of this with a few toys I had because it would just drive me nuts
I always thought that the Sky Hawks were based off the Bell Model 65 Air Test Vehicle. As seen in this vidoe:th-cam.com/video/47lbSI67AN8/w-d-xo.html at time 2:22
I hope you're feeling better, Hoodie. Thanks for posting another awesome review; had you saved the Super Trooper uniform, or did you have to make a new one? I actually had this as a kid. I always wanted a Sky Hawk because I loved them in the cartoon, but I came to Joe collecting a year too late. The Sky Sky Hawk was my stand-in. I know its got many serious flaws, but I loved this garish budget vehicle.
Great review! That was one of the vehicles in the box I bought for my son at a yard sale. Oddly enough it was the Night Viper that piloted the Sky Hawk. The Sky Patrol team rode on the skids and were paratroopers or they piloted the Locust. My son asked at one point to glue the fins on because of them falling off. Cannot wait to see your reviews of the Sky Patrol figures.
I really love way most Sky Patrol vehicles look and that includes this version of Sky Hawk. Only one that I don't like is Sky havoc but then again I don't like regular Havoc either.
No interest in Sky Patrol. I don't mind the non military type figures and vehicles, I just don't like any reissues, which, Sky Patrol, Tiger Force, Python Patrol, Sgt. Slaughter Mauraders, etc, were. Iron Grendiere's are the way to go, and Dreadnok's. That's it.
That Ghost Raven kicks the others' ass. I am not one to gush over modern vehicles, but they did that well. I'd say give it its own review, but, well...parameters...
ERRATA: the last name on the "Special thanks" list should be Jesse Kussatz. My apology to Jesse for getting his name wrong.
well hey, no ones perfect! Still, great video I hope your feeling better!
I love all the sky hawks, but especially the sky patrol version.
I wanted this so bad as a kid! Thanks for the memory, and loved the intro!
P.S. Hope you’re feeling better, catch you Tuesday!
I like the chrome colored Sky Patrol vehicles. They're a good contrast to the original vehicles. I was too young to know that they were made from the same molds as a kid.
I love the sky hawk no matter what it is. Great review
The intro was so funny thank you for the laugh😂😂
Late ww2 American fighters and bombers were left bare aluminium. The color of the sky patrol vehicles seem to be a call back to those aircraft.
My thoughts exactly, they wanted it to resemble the P-51D
you guys are at least one step ahead of me! F-86s F-100s, F-104s etc. all got the bare metal treatment until the mid-1960s
HCC you are absolutely a mess. That is why I am a huge fan. Number one GI Joe toy reviewer. Thanks for all you do.
I love this thing. Maybe better than the original. I had this new as a kid. Dude I wanna see you review that chrome night raven
I agree. The Sky Patrol Sky Hawk was a good reuse of an iconic vehicle. The chrome color works great.
44yrs old and a G.I.JOE fan 4 life. I hope you battle that Viper Cold away! Awesome video! Keep it up! COBRA!!!!

Great review! Thanks for still posting despite not feeling well. I hope you feel better.
Just bought one of these on eBay, unopened.

The name alone sounds bad ass

With that suit aliens can't read your mind. Glad to see you are feeling better. Love the videos
I was out of collecting by then, but with the original I had I usually used it as a backdrop for my adventures. lol
I always enjoy your shows.
Love the uniform. Brightens up my day!
First video of yours I watched. I’m now a subscriber and can’t wait to watch more.
thanks for being so goofy sometimes, makes me chuckle every time
i know very little about Sky Patrol this was a great and fun video thank you and get better we need you to keep putting out these videos
The title pic makes the SP Skyhawk look black and dark gray, that would be a cool paint scheme.
Thank You for great content weekly

Great job I love this channel keep up the great work!! HCC788
Almost 8000 subscribers! Hell Yeah!
Thanks for your excellent reviews hcc!!
Nice battle armor @HCC788. 👍😂
I like this one I never saw these back when they was on the shelves ..cool nice work as always 😁
Great review 😃
Ghost Hawk would have been perfect as a Navy version- like on the Flagg or Tactical Battle Platform. One of the nicer updates to the 80’s original.
Another great video!
if they had made the tail section about 3 inches longer and put a rotor on it, it would've been a badass helicopter
Nice review! I'm not a big fan of Sky Patrol's other vehicles, but it's a nice update of the Sky Hawk. I think the chrome is too shiny. I'm more of a fan of the original versions.

I thought it was a great video. I had the original sky hawk and loved it
Finely SKY PATROL gets it just Review !!!
Owww, shiny! Your suit really "reflects" your commitment to G.I joe! Lol
This would have made a good vehicle for Captain Powers.
If you were to go by the cartoon, anyone could be the pilot.
I regret not getting the Sky Patrol and other remake subteams.
Did they ever do a chrome Skystriker? Because that would be cool!
Lol! I was just talking about the modern one. (Sorry, I my phone was on pause,so I could type.lol!)
Bling-Bling Patrol!
I had one of those things
Yo Joe this channel rocks
Sky patrol gets a Kermit the frog yay yaaaaaayyyyyyyy
Your humor is so bad it's good. Not knocking you, your a smart dude, I like your reviews.
What was the point of the "Sky" HAVOC?
To shoot things out of the sky.
Skypatrol I have airtight fly the Skyhawk with Super Trooper stand on the rail with the gun in the shield
Chrome don't get ya home
Is SKY PATROL still available? It is awesome!
I wonder how many of these ended up with touches of model glue super glue holding on the parts that like to fall off without provocation when kids have these..... And I'm guilty of this with a few toys I had because it would just drive me nuts
Wait... dud you just call the Sky Sharc the 'Sky SHART"?
I always thought that the Sky Hawks were based off the Bell Model 65 Air Test Vehicle. As seen in this vidoe:th-cam.com/video/47lbSI67AN8/w-d-xo.html at time 2:22
Make more chrome episodes
I hope you're feeling better, Hoodie. Thanks for posting another awesome review; had you saved the Super Trooper uniform, or did you have to make a new one?

But Hoodie Coco...they're shiny! You know...
Shiny! Same as all the other originals...but shiny!
The Sky Raven is kinda a exception, as it lacks the drone from the original.
And its SHINNY!!!
Awesome review of a dud of a vehicle with a lot of problems. Military Colors for me.
Nice review, and vehicles are cool, but no legs bending at about 90 degrees this week. :(
I really love way most Sky Patrol vehicles look and that includes this version of Sky Hawk. Only one that I don't like is Sky havoc but then again I don't like regular Havoc either.

That costume is "vintage".
Get better brother. Lots of colds going around the country.
Call me a traditionalist, but I prefer GI JOE O.D. green to funky flashman colour schemes (like Sky Patrol)
Why do you have those subteams garbage? Yuck! Python Patrol. Tiger Force. 💩
