The Night-Creeper appeared in the comic a little earlier. Right after issue 100. Had a cool fight with Storm Shadow and Stalker. Snake-Eyes in Borvovia, return of Major Bludd... that’s a good run of issues.
as a kid i wasn't crazy about night creepers. i loved ninjas but i sorta wished these dudes came in all black or at least military colored camo. As an adult, they have grown on me and their color patterns and crossbows make them stand out and are in my top ten list :-) night creepers have aged like wine in my book !
My son had not only that version but the 1998 version that was part of the Cobra Polar Force that included Snow Serpent and Firefly. V1 he called the Urban Ninja, while v4 was the Polar ninja.
I had the night creeper in my youth but I don’t remember having the file card so I didn’t realise he was a ninja. In my head canon he was some time of Arabian nights character.
Thanks for sharing. I found this figure at a flea market back in 1999. He only had the backpack and the crossbow. I knew nothing about him except only he was a ninja.
I'm pleasantly surprised you liked Night -Creeper. It's definitely a look you go with, or hate. I agree with you, and other comments that some sort of modern weapon would have cemented the "High Tech Ninja" theme.
Brotherhood of the Were-Tigers had the movie Brotherhood of the Wolf pop into my head lol. The Brotherhood of the Wolf guys are sorta ninja looking now that I think about it. Or at least what I imagine a 1700's European Ninja to look like, with the tri-corn hats and all lol, so I guess it makes sense?
You picked a great on B. You cheered me up. His Kriss sword is my favorite accessory, the barbed sword I could care less for. His backpack is highly detailed. One of my favorite Army builder's!
Хорошее описание! Добрый юмор. Больше интересных обзоров! С детства люблю фигурки, вот только у нас они продавались нелегально и состояли из разных частей. Например: голова, тело и ноги принадлежали разным героям.
Great review, I had this figure growing up, many times I made him the night creeper leader since Hasbro didn't make one with the dic version look, why didn't Hasbro make the night creeper leader from dic, it would have been easy to make and sell, the only thing I didn't like from the night creeper were the swords, they were made poorly in my opinion, since Hasbro reused snake eyes v3 backpack why didn't they just reused his sword as well, would have saved Hasbro some money, or at least use storm shadows v2 gear, those do make better ninja accessories, still a good figure, like the colors, I would just change the weapons, still would wanted a dic version of night creeper leader, that way I can have storm shadow v3 and him fight in cool battles
Night Creepers chest piece reminds me of Optimus Primes cab for some reason!! Great review Commander. All the best my friend. Hope the new job is going well.
In 1990, I was 12 - family being what it was at the time, I spent a *lot* of time out at night, and carried on in my career later. I can creep in the dark like hell, and I scare the predators away. It's an apex thing... I'm glad I'm retired from it.
Neat review made me appreciate the figure even more! I now have plans to get a few more as I thought these were a single operative not an army builder, I love the story from the FC and am inspired. I also feel Ice Viper's count as Cobra Ninja's as well.
So what did Cobra Commander exactly do with his working relationship with the Night-Creepers when he created the Ninja Viper corps later on? Did he still keep the Night-Creepers around?
Great work! This and the Ninja Viper is where I say the good ninja line ended (no offense to those who like Ninja's after these two) Night Creeper V2 looks like a cyborg more than ninja.
Agreed. I would guess the 1990 figures may have been in the concept/design phase as early as late '88 even since the figures would have been in stores in Feb/Mar of '90. The 1991 (Series X) of Joes was probably the last wave that was designed in '89-'90. Ironically that is also the last series/wave that was basically produced and packaged with the original line logo, same art style and basic cardback design before they completely redesigned the cards, changed the artist and also the way the packaging appeared.
These guys always seemed more Middle Easterner styled "League of Assassins" types than Asian themed ninjas to me. That said I'm sure Ra's al Ghul would have lest garish uniforms for his minions, at least the no namers
I have this guy still. And night creeper leader. I think NCL is cooler, even with his tiger print pants! XD Also, Is there a way I could post pics in the comments? I'm curious about a set of ninja figures from G. I. Joe I got in a multi-pack. What might the subset line be called? A version of Snake Eyes and one of Storm Shadow was among them. Perhaps, they are simply identified by version number? I've never found them to be shown anywhere on this vast internet. It seems to be one of those rare things that are being lost to time. I believe they came out in the 2000's somewhere. That's the decade I bought them in, anyway. Hot damn, it's been a minute since then! Hint: Storm Shadow has a towel like piece hanging from his belt in the front and back. And green or gray* dragon decals on his legs. *I'm a bit color blind. And memory is hazy, too.
He would have looked so much cooler If he was black , gray and silver. Or light grey, dark great and silver ……I just can’t get into the magenta and purple
historical ninjas didn't wear black. They would wear a very dark blue that if i remember was common with farmers. By this era i was aging out of Gi Joe. Oddly i didnt like these really bright color patterns either

Hama's file card puts this one in the top tier for me!
Easily top tier. Fantastic figure.
One of my favorites. I only have one so far, but I love him. You were mostly positive about Night Creeper. How about that. Totally top tier!
I loved Night Creeper, one of the few I had
I was so lucky to order the Ninja viper. Every day seems like a year until it arrived in the mail
My son had not only that version but the 1998 version that was part of the Cobra Polar Force that included Snow Serpent and Firefly. V1 he called the Urban Ninja, while v4 was the Polar ninja.

Cool!
Love these vintage reviews!
Thanks for sharing. I found this figure at a flea market back in 1999. He only had the backpack and the crossbow. I knew nothing about him except only he was a ninja.
ONE THING: If his helmet cloth was like 1985's Dusty, then that would be awesome. Still a top tier figure for me.
No mention of ninja force night creeper in the joe/transformers gen 2 4 issue arc?
Those guys were a nightmare for Cobra HR.
Tigger costume. Once seen, can never be unseen.
This has inspired me to do some creeping...👌🏼💯✔
I love your sense of humor! You really should have a cable channel somewhere...you're a natural!
Love this figure!!🤘🏻😎🖤

Night creeper leader was a missed opportunity to use the whole body with just a new head.
Jeepers! It's the Night-Creepers!

Night creeper grew on me . I like them
These guys had a cool design.
Great video!
Those aren’t grenades on the pack, they’re throwing stars in little pouches with a snap over the top.
Of course there is a night creeper cobra ninja, just more for a joe to have to stay up at night Yo Joe...!💯
They seem more like middle eastern assassins rather than Asian ninjas.
Is there any room for a Budo review? Samurai vs. Ninja is a powerful campaign. It might be worth a sh🎯t. Love your channel, HCC788!!
Great Figure..I've collected a few for an army and also have the Cobra Polar Force edition from 97...as usual HCC great review. 👍😁

been catching up on the videos you make. i noticed you have not reviewed the bug or hammerhead. cant wait to see those.
Night Creepers chest piece reminds me of Optimus Primes cab for some reason!! Great review Commander. All the best my friend. Hope the new job is going well.
I've always seen him as wearing an Optimus Prime Halloween costume.
@@LukeWarm05 ha ha, very appropriate as Halloween approaches!! Maybe this Night Creeper is more than meets the eye. All the best.
Maybe he's storing the Matrix of Leadership in there.
@@JediJunkie247 the GI Joe/Transformers crossover that no one was aware of!!!!

Thank you! 🎃
They should have named him night-stalker. ... oh wait, nevermind. Lol
They definitely should have pushed the "modern ninja" angle more. A suppressed SMG would have been more appropriate than the crossbow
You have some cool t shirts.

So what did Cobra Commander exactly do with his working relationship with the Night-Creepers when he created the Ninja Viper corps later on? Did he still keep the Night-Creepers around?
Not the first time a military or government organization had multiple agencies that did the exact same thing.
Great work! This and the Ninja Viper is where I say the good ninja line ended (no offense to those who like Ninja's after these two) Night Creeper V2 looks like a cyborg more than ninja.
I had this figure as a kid! I remember thinking it looked cool, but also it didn't look like it was supposed to be just a ninja, to me :/
Night-Creeper sounds like a song by the Bee-Gees . That burgundy color reminds me of cherry cough drops.
So... what part of Piranhacon does Night Creeper V2 form?
Good review.
How's the new job going?
I always thought they had a bit of a Bedouin look to them.
Over all I do think that 1990 figures and vehicles do count as 80's ones because those were clearly designed in 1989.
Agreed. I would guess the 1990 figures may have been in the concept/design phase as early as late '88 even since the figures would have been in stores in Feb/Mar of '90. the gray pants is more geared towards urban environments
Wondering if the topic of thumbs would come up. I see so many of these with broken thumbs. I had two as a kid and both had at least one broken thumb.
I have a real problem with the crossbow. The extra bolts appear to be attached to the string?! How would that work?!
I used to pretend 🤣
Wallace and Grommet and the Brotherhood of the Were-Tigers would be such a good movie.
Shame that's never gonna happen due to... yeah.
These guys always seemed more Middle Easterner styled "League of Assassins" types than Asian themed ninjas to me. That said I'm sure Ra's al Ghul would have lest garish uniforms for his minions, at least the no namers
Yeah, they do. As a matter of fact, I thought that new Red Ninja figure that's' out now was a new version of the Night Creepers at first.
i had night creeper but i removed his head and replaced it with bulletproof's head to make my own figure.
I have this guy still. And night creeper leader. I think NCL is cooler, even with his tiger print pants! XD
Also, Is there a way I could post pics in the comments?

I was a night creeper in college, but had to stop because the cops were called.
Loved this look for the NC. The late versions of NC esp NF were awful.
Did I miss the secret code?? 😶
He would have looked so much cooler If he was black , gray and silver. Or light grey, dark great and silver ……I just can’t get into the magenta and purple
Gate way ninja;.
Where is DEF?
I always assumed the Night Creepers were Jewish because their names were letters of the Hebrew alphabet.
historical ninjas didn't wear black. They would wear a very dark blue that if i remember was common with farmers.

COBRA !
about that intro... more like nocturnal peeping tom
Why bother having a night creeper when you had the Night Viper. The only ninja Cobra needed was Storm Shadow.
I agree! Night Viper is my jam!!
Have them work as a team?
Why didn't they call it red ninja?
Reminds me of the old adage "just because a thing can be done doesn't mean that it should be done."
Ninja month!?!?!?!?! What is it my birthday??? Actually yes, it is my birthday.
Happy b-day
Happy Birthday Daniel
👍😂
Sssssssssssssssss.......BOOM!!
Did you stop working out?
Creeper creeper
First
Hello my friend.
cool looking ninja and they looked great on the cartoon. i hate the look of v2
Looks like he can unclog your drains with that barbed "blade."
