In Marathi we call it “batatyachi kaap” I know it’s difficult to pronounce it ,in English “potatoe fried slices “ most common and easy side dish to made it.....
In my house there is a traditional potato mash kind of thing Boil some potatoes Then mash it with some warm water Add some salt,hing, lemon, coriander and the main thing is chopped green chillies Its usually eaten with rice ..
My favorite do same for brinjal specially big one. To enhance taste take glass of water and put pinch of salt and few chop chillies for 20-30 min. Then put this water on fired Brinjal it would taste mind blowing. U can use vinega too and ignore salt.
Chef Prateek's instant aloo recipe was a complete disaster! The term 'instant' is misleading as the recipe was anything but quick. The instructions were unclear and the end result was a bland, tasteless mess. I followed the recipe to the T, but the potatoes came out soggy and flavorless. Don't waste your time or ingredients on this recipe. There are far better aloo options out there.
