🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation: 00:00 🕰️ Class starts at 7 PM sharp every day, with a 20-minute Q&A session from 6:40 to 7 PM. 01:39 📚 This is not a lecture but a class, where you can interrupt and ask questions at any time. 03:52 📝 No homework will be assigned, and you'll receive daily class summaries (transcripts) to review. 05:29 📓 Don't take notes until instructed; focus on understanding concepts, as the instructor will provide comprehensive notes. 08:45 📖 Students should be able to read the Quran in Arabic, even if they don't understand it, before starting the class. 11:51 🇦🇪 This class teaches classical Arabic, distinct from spoken and standard Arabic. 16:19 🗺️ Classical Arabic aims to preserve the language before it was influenced by other cultures and civilizations. 24:45 💪 Learning classical Arabic has been preserved by Islamic scholarship, making it accessible worldwide. 25:14 🤔 The two hardest parts of learning classical Arabic are "morphology" and "syntax." 26:27 🧩 In Arabic, there are three types of words: harf, ism, and fi'l. 30:14 📚 The four key language skills to learn any language are listening comprehension, reading with comprehension, speaking properly, and writing properly. 35:21 💡 The primary focus in learning Arabic as a Muslim is on developing listening and reading skills to connect with the Quran. 38:00 🌐 There are three types of words in Arabic: harf (a word that makes no sense until another word comes after it), ism (a noun that includes persons, places, things, ideas, adjectives, adverbs, and more), and fi'l (verbs indicating actions in the past, present, or future). 44:57 🔤 Adverbs in Arabic are words that describe actions and usually end with "Lee," except for a few exceptions like Bruce Lee and lovely. 55:37 📚 In Arabic, there are three types of words: Ism (noun), Fi'l (verb), and Harf (particle). 57:01 🔊 In Arabic, Ism (nouns) are categorized into person, place, thing, idea, adjective, adverb, and more. 58:39 📖 Every word in the Quran is either an Ism, Fi'l, or Harf, and there is no fourth category of words. 59:39 ⚖️ In Arabic, words can be divided into two categories: Ism (doer) and Fi'l (done to), depending on whether they perform an action or receive it. 01:00:32 🔄 The order of words in Arabic sentences does not determine their roles; instead, the ending sounds of words (ooh or ah) indicate their functions. 01:03:46 🎶 Arabic has various sounds, including ooh, ah, ee, and in, which play different roles in the language. 01:04:05 📝 Every Ism in Arabic has four properties: status, number, gender, and type. 01:21:34 🧩 The Arabic sentence "Ustad taught us the Arabic of the Quran slowly yesterday" contains Isms (nouns) and Fi'l (verb) and can be analyzed based on questions like who, what, when, where, and how. 01:24:22 📚 Understanding Arabic grammar basics: In Arabic, words can be categorized into three forms based on their role in a sentence: Rafa (for the doer), Nasib (for the detail), and Jar (for anything that comes after "of"). 01:25:55 📖 The term "doer" is referred to as "rougher" in Arabic grammar, and details are called "nasib." Anything following "of" is termed "jar." 01:27:05 💡 To identify the function of words in Arabic sentences, first, find the verb (the doer or rougher) and then determine whether other words are details (nasib) or objects (jar). 01:29:23 🕌 In Arabic, words ending in "u" or "un" are typically rougher (the doer), words ending in "a" or "an" are usually nasib (details), and words ending in "i" or "in" are often jar (objects). 01:51:46 📝 Arabic nouns have specific forms based on the number of items they represent: singular, dual (two items), and plural (more than two items). These forms affect the ending sounds of the nouns. 01:57:33 🧩 Always look for combinations first when determining the status (Rafa, Nasab, or Jar) of a word in Arabic grammar. 01:58:19 🔢 There are three groups of words in Arabic grammar: one for Rafa, one for Nasab, and one for Jar. Each group serves a specific grammatical function. 01:59:14 🧐 Always prioritize checking for combinations in Arabic words before considering ending sounds when determining their status. 02:00:26 📖 Apply the concepts of sound and combination to identify the status of Arabic words accurately. 02:01:56 📚 When examining Arabic words, make sure to check for combinations (like Ani, Aini, Una, Ina) before concluding their grammatical status. 02:03:10 🧐 Continuously practice identifying the status (Rafa, Nasab, or Jar) of Arabic words to improve your understanding of Arabic grammar. 02:04:49 📝 Make notes of the key concepts and rules in Arabic grammar to aid your learning process. 02:08:06 📢 You can determine the status of Arabic words by analyzing their ending sounds or ending combinations, depending on the context. I can not begin to express how much I love Nouman Ali khan. He is an amazing teacher. He knows his purpose and is on a mission. I pray Allah protects him and allows us to continue the beautiful journey of learning arabic with him.
Remove the idea that u’re going to master Quran Arabic in 1 year. Just enjoy the process. Go realllll slow. Repeat the video if you don’t understand. Pause and write some notes to internalize. Pause, talk to yourself and reflect on the concepts. The goal is to make learning arabic a daily thing. 15min, 30min…. As long as it’s daily. See this as a form of ibadah, Allah swt will reward you on your intention. Even if it takes 10 years to understand Quran Arabic to the level of your English - so be it. The reward and blessings is with Allah swt and HE swt knows you’re learning to be closer and more sincere to HIM swt. Allah swt appreciates your struggle. HE swt is Ash Shakur : The One that Appreciates.
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "The best among you (Muslims) are those who learn the Qur'an and teach it." Sahih al-Bukhari 5027. Thanks, Ustad for giving us such a valuable content for us with free of cost. Love from INDIA. ❤

Assalamualaikum,I have started the classes.I am on bed for my post surgery recovery.Inshaallah I will complete the ten days course.I am hopeful that these ten days will change my life and help me to understand Qur'an little by little.Shukr Alhamdulillah....
Al Salam Alaykom, I stumbled across this lesson on TH-cam yesterday. A light came on! The most influential gramma teacher I ever had was a brother name, brother Abdu-Hakeem in Maryland. His grammar teaching style was different than any I have ever taken. He knew where many of us older converts “fell off the boat” and he made us address them mental blocks. The teacher passed away about seven years ago, suddenly and his Janazah what is a testimony to the many of young and old students that he had impacted. He was always preparing and improving his lessons plan. It was his life! He would mention his friendship with you sheikh and how you all shared notes. I could see in your lesson the magic that he taught. I’m glad to discover this class again. I’m sure you remember the brother. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to connect
Intro 0:01 - 33:29 Base 33:30 Purpose 35:08 Class, START 38:50 Definition of Ism, Fi'il, Garf 57:27 The English mind tells us the first one did something. Classicial arabic is not the same. 1:05:03 Oooooh but in arabic and it shows who does what😂1:06:58 1:10:55 Daud A.S and Jalud example 1:25:54 Fi'il : Raf'(doer) Nasb(detail) Jarr(of a.k.a possession) 1:37:00 Arabic class, START 1:43:23 Fi'il : AANI - 2R, AYNI - 2N / 2J
Notes: Nahw (na'hu) = grammar. Using the right word in the right place. How a sentence works. Sarf - system by which you create new words. How a word is spelt.

the best Arabic class I've ever tried and experienced!!! even though I speak 6 languages, I always felt like arabic is just too difficult, and felt intimidated by it. After this first class however it finally clicked and I just love how it all makes sense now when I try and read Quran... What a great teacher, very thorough and super to the point, no time wasting here.
Everyone doing this, keep going, enjoy every bit, and make the most of it. Excell your limit of concentration and just make learning Arabic happen to you by the help of Allah❤ And you will very soon be understanding Quran just listening to it with closed eyes💖 May Allah increase our firmness.

Alhamdulillah, just now I have completed the first lecture. Thanks ustadh for making me understand easily. Two days ago, when I was listening to the lecture provided by Jeffery Lang about the purpose of life. I was mesmerizing to see his comprehension skills in the Quran. After that, I asked myself, can I understand the Quran properly, or can I comprehend it deeply? Though I was born into a Muslim family, I can't comprehend it fully yet. This motivation basically propelled me to figure out the Arabic Grammar and the language. I began to search for some lectures about it and finally, I got it. An ocean of thanks to you dear Ustadh respectfully. Insha'Allah, I will complete all 10 classes within this week. May Allah help me and all of us. Ameen
This was a reslly good start but i initially got lost in Raf', Nasb and Jar'. Last half hour of this video is difficult but you may have to watch it a few times to master this amd remember if off heart!

*Our Prophet (ﷺ) had tears in his eyes when listening this verse of Qur'an* Narrated `Abdullah (bin Mas`ud): Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said (to me), "Recite the Qur'an to me." I said, "Shall I recite (it) to you while it has been revealed to you?" He said, "I like to hear it from another person." So I recited Surat An-Nisa (The Women) till I reached the Verse: فَكَيْفَ إِذَا جِئْنَا مِن كُلِّ أُمَّةٍۭ بِشَهِيدٍۢ وَجِئْنَا بِكَ عَلَىٰ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ شَهِيدًۭا "How (will it be) then when We bring from each nation a witness, and We bring you (O Muhammad) as a witness against these people.'" Qur'an (4.41) Then he said to me, "Stop!" Thereupon I saw his eyes overflowing with tears. (Sahih al-Bukhari 5055)

As an Arabic, I don't see a big difference between my spoken Arabic in Algeria for example and other Arabic in other Arabic countries, I mean we understand each other very very easily , because it's almost the same, just some small words, some tone .., so don't worry, you guys can understand it all once you learn Classical or standard Arabic .
When I see those kinds of videos I feel blessed that Arabic is my first language may Allah make it easy for those wanna learn Arabic to understand the Quran
MashaAllah

01:25:55 📖 The term "doer" is referred to as "rougher" in Arabic grammar, and details are called "nasib." Anything following "of" is termed "jar."
01:27:05 💡 To identify the function of words in Arabic sentences, first, find the verb (the doer or rougher) and then determine whether other words are details (nasib) or objects (jar).

Why So Pessimistic. Nothing wrong with idea Mastering Arabic Quran in one year. Easy to Allah "Kun fa yakun, Allah will help you to understand fast.

*Our Prophet (ﷺ) had tears in his eyes when listening this verse of Qur'an*
Narrated `Abdullah (bin Mas`ud):
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said (to me), "Recite the Qur'an to me." I said, "Shall I recite (it) to you while it has been revealed to you?"
He said, "I like to hear it from another person." So I recited Surat An-Nisa (The Women) till I reached the Verse:
فَكَيْفَ إِذَا جِئْنَا مِن كُلِّ أُمَّةٍۭ بِشَهِيدٍۢ وَجِئْنَا بِكَ عَلَىٰ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ شَهِيدًۭا
"How (will it be) then when We bring from each nation a witness, and We bring you (O Muhammad) as a witness against these people.'"
Qur'an (4.41)
Then he said to me, "Stop!" Thereupon I saw his eyes overflowing with tears.
(Sahih al-Bukhari 5055)
