They didn't show the first battle because Vado was a nobody at the time, and Jae Millz was that dude from the Making the Band battle against Ness. DVDs didn't have enough room to put all the battles on it. But I agree that with youtube, Smack should release that full battle. He's released other full battles that were cut short on the DVD, so I know he has the footage.
