    Old nylon shower curtains might work well too

    I love these bags. Much simpler to make than others I’ve seen. I now know what to do with the 60 yards of rip stop nylon I bought at a garage sale.

    Wish these had a small handle at the end of the zipper. I love these and I am gonna use some bright colored quilted fabric to make mine. Thank you for such simplicity

    This was brilliant. The formula for bags, the marking on the 'deck' of your machine...this is getting used this weekend. I've never heard of clipping your thread rather than pulling it through. I'm going to see if I can't break that habit now. Thank you for sharing your expertise! This was a great first tutorial.

    Very well done! So glad that I kept looking for a better way because I can manage making this for 3 people for our vacation!
    I like the tip on cutting it at the top- I bet it reduces lint in the machine because it is not being pulled in the reverse direction. I am now eager to start making them!

    I just spent a lot of time making packing cubes with the zip around the top zipper. I can't believe I didn't think to do them this way. I know how to make this style bag... Next ones will be using your method..... Thank You!

    Great tutorial, but I'd also recommend to do a rolled hem or burn the edges (careful doing this!!!) to stop the edges fraying. Most outdoor companies use an 8-10 stitch per inch for stitching which helps for puckering. Very quick project and great gifts.

      I agree with finishing the edges, After using them for a while, the seams are unravelling and strings are getting tangles. So some options for finishing edges would be using a serger/zigzag stitch, using french seams ( meaning you'll have to add in seam allowance twice), rolling the hem, or using a lighter to singe the synthetic fabric.

    Thank you so much. The math and diagram was especially helpful. Thank you again. Have you done any more organizing bags since this video?

    I am handy, I can sew, I can do this. THANK YOU. I would like to suggest writing which sport each bag is for so you don't have to open them to see.

    This was my first successful sewing project! Thank you so much. While the first bag took an hour (i had to watch a zipper tutorial) I have since made 6 of these in 2 days. 2 in black satin and 4 in from a blue tarp. They take no time at all now. Cant thank you enough!

    Very simple, doable! Thanks! Question: the corner triangles were not clear, are they all 3” and does that make a 3” corner?

    • @music42380
      @music42380  6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The 3" on the corner makes the box 3" tall, giving it a box shape.
