    I wish I had that crane for my SIPs roof builds, but that gooseneck trailer is what I have never seen before. I want one. Like the AR shirts too.

    Those end pieces creating your overhang are called lookouts. The barge rafter is the fascia that attaches to the lookouts to create your overhang.

    These overhangs are called ‘ladders’, in Canada at least.

    We call them "Look Outs" ... the blocks extending out to attach the gutter board to.

    Another great video showing the progress, thank you for the inspiration! A little late for the thought but, in a similar situation to when you were doing the blocking, maybe set up a go-pro type camera looking out the window in the house to do a time lapse of the work?

    So curious when you connect it to the house, is it going to be like a suspended walkway or are you enclosing the bottom and top floor together?

    They make soffit venting that allows air to vent into rafter area so the bird blocking isn't necessary .

    Again, excelent work, Mr. Martin. Soon you'll have a mancave to work in... To lift the sheathing on the roof, as this looks taller than the house, you might use a cheap electric winch lift. Just an idea, get it done with the most handy thing you have. Keep going, you're beeing watched... =)

    The "Look-outs" should be every 24", 4' isn't enough support for the OSB.. Code here in Northwest Montana...

    Anyway, what kind of timber do you use Pak Martin? Is there any termite threat? Does the timber dry ovened? If it soaked by the rain, does it affect to the timber endurance? I am sking this because we are in Indonesia with tropical climate has bunch of problem by using wood, logs and timber.

      It is all good here. This is the most common building material. Check out Home Depot’s web site you can see all different kinds of lumber for building.

    Hi Martin! Today, so many TH-camrs discard the polite way of saying even a short greeting at the beginning of their video.
