Weather currents are caused by the Earth spinning. Hurricanes would not form if it wasn’t for the Earth spinning. If the Earth stops spinning…we all die….the planet dies. As along as the Earth has existed….weather currents and hurricanes have existed….long before factories and vehicles were even invented…and they do the same amount of destruction as they always have…depending on the size and location of the storm and depending on how many buildings and houses exist along the coast. The people who are flooded in other states from the rain of this storm are flooded because their towns and neighborhoods are built too close to rivers…and rivers have always flooded when areas get a lot of rain….this is also something that existed long before factories and vehicles and even humans existed. Not every hurricane is a bad one…majority of them are Cat 1 and they don’t do as much damage. I have been living through hurricanes since the 70s…and they haven’t changed….they are all different and they are no worse than they’ve always been. Weather has existed long before humans existed….so stop acting like this is something new…because it’s not. Weather and storms and hurricanes exist because the Earth spins. And remember…scientists have said the Earth is spinning faster than it used to….and there’s nothing we can do to change what the Earth does itself. They predict at some point the poles will shift….they say the poles have shifted before and will shift again….when this happens the ice and snow will exist where the new pole position is….that area will freeze and it will get warmer in other areas just like what we have now. There’s nothing anyone can do about this….the Earth is going to do what it’s going to do. Humans can’t control a planet and bans on certain products won’t change anything. Were you aware that scientists say that when we were all locked down during the pandemic….and pollution was super low…that the Earth actually warmed more because the pollution wasn’t in the air blocking the sun from heating up the planet? So stop being in denial of the actual cause of weather and how the Earth works.

It was only a small area of coastline that had storm surge in Florida….it’s all the other states that are under water from flooding. The storm surge in Florida comes in and then goes back out…so that area isn’t under water anymore. I’ve lived in Florida since the 70s and the coastline is the same…the water hasn’t risen….it only comes in during hurricanes and goes back out again. There are houses still standing right along the beach that have been there since the 70s and 80s because they haven’t been hit yet by storm surge.

@@jacquelinefroehle5868 so did they when Maria hit Puerto Rico in 2017 while the weather experts of PR were accurate as heck. They need to get the hand on experience like the ones in PR have who can identify the gravity of these kinds of Cat 2-5 hurricanes and weather conditions. Florida is the one that’s the most hit whenever the storms come and look at the devastation. They need to build better houses and all that. It’s not like it will snow in Florida so cement houses will provide better cover than a wood frame even if it has bricks outside. I’m a PR survivor from that hurricane in 2017 so something has to change or this will keep up since they downgrade the severity of the storms on the news and people should take these things seriously. Hurricane season is always the same months. People have to educate themselves.

The best project anyone can make is community getting together to find resources in case of emergencies. Once a storm is over Cat 1 people need to evacuate. News aren’t solid when it comes to these storms.
