      Great machine. There’s a reason John Deere wanted in on this.

    I think that with this machine Honest Cam would say something in the lines of: The stick cylinder is not leaking. It's self lubricating. The machine takes care of lubricating the bucket pins and other parts and prevents rusting while standing idle. Also the AC is new improved and field tested eco-model. It's environmentally friendly model that runs on low gas volume and pressure. And the seat is custom. It's ergonomically shaped custom chair to fit previous users body. Also the radio is not missing. It's a safety feature so the operator cannot come distracted by music. :D

      You mean like by not wearing shorts and sandals on the job site, no high visibility vests or hard hats,...pushing trees over so they fall across a public road with no traffic control. loading and unloading a heavy steel track piece of equipment on a nice new publicly funded paved road and topping it off by not providing any traffic control,... loading a dump truck with a skidsteer,......?

      @@jcgoogle1808 Relax there Mr ive never been on a jobsite safety officer, It was loaded on a dirt road and unloaded at his farm as he states which is also a dirt road. Definetly gonna need to throw on the high vis vest, carhartts, steel toes and a hard hat, plus lets get traffic control too in a wide open lot off the paved road.
      By the way skidsteers are fully capable of loading a dump truck and do so on a regular basis

    Congratulations Chris! That looks like it'll make you a nice machine with a little TLC. As long as the pumps, engine, undercarriage, and the rest of the major components check out I think you done pretty good. Hitachi is a good machine and keeps a good resale value but I'm actually really shocked that it doesn't have a pattern changer for being a 2005, but at least you got one new enough that it's nice but old enough that you don't have to deal with the emissions garbage! And it's small enough that you can haul it on your guy's tag trailer.

  • @Olliegunns
    @Olliegunns 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    The Hitachi's from that era were simple, basic and bombproof. No AdBlue or DPF's - just straight up power! Good choice for a yard machine and I'm sure plenty in Africa would still run that on the front line. Hope she serves you well.

    If you're going to attempt resealing that arm cylinder yourself, the nut on the end of the rod that holds the piston on is torqued to 7500 ft/lbs-- That's where people usually stop and bring it to a shop with a hydraulic cylinder bench to disassemble.reassemble. Also make sure to replace the bushing in the rod guide-- that's what wears as the cylinder is horizontal and then wears the seals -- new seals are short lived if bushing is not replaced-- I'm not sure if the bushing is part of the OEM seal kit .

    • @travisrickett5681
      @travisrickett5681 5 ปีที่แล้ว

Living out of town in the woods, I see transport trucks traveling with "Wide Load" signs coming down the road towards me all the time, but few are transporting anything near as wide as your new excavator appears to be. The tracks on that machine must be the widest made for that series excavator. Congratulations on your new toy, I mean new machine.

    Congratulations on the new to you piece of machinery. Before you add Freon to the air conditioner, try cleaning out the condenser and cooling fins for it first; that could be so clogged with dirt air cant flow through it making it not work. Some people add too much Freon and it has the same effect as not enough, messes up the a/c so it wont work right. use an air hose until dust doesn't come out of it anymore, then maybe hit it with coil cleaner and wash it out if you want.

      Lowboys cost alot more then what they are paying. You would need a tractor with 5-th wheel and the trailer. A new lowboy costs alot of money. you are looking at at least a couple hundred thouseand for truck and trailer not to mention getting the permits.

    • @karaayers2867
      @karaayers2867 5 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      You work the cost into the job. They haul the 160 behind the dump truck, but the bigger 220 or this 200 need a lowboy and when you think about the $ to purchase, insure, maintain, and fuel one, then road tax, storage area, and time to drive it you're better off paying someone while you can be busy digging on a job.
      My mini and tractor aren't over 6000lb each so I just pull them with my small dump truck economically.

    I bought an ex200lc a few years ago and couldn't be happier. Has hydraulic thumb and 42inch bucket and I also found a 66inch clean out bucket for fast loading.
    Was wondering what you paid for it? Congratulations on the purchase.

      At 11:05 Chris says that there will be a bunch of videos going over it. Let's just hope that he's not too busy to film it because I'd live to see the repairs. 👍 🇬🇧

    a long time ago i worked for a company in n Alabama that had a 200 & 330 Hitachi excavator's loading 6 volvo a30 trucks. If you could pile some dirt up with the 200 it would load a truck as fast as the 330 because the cycle time was so fast. The 200 was the excavator i learned on , fun times.

    nice looking machine. on top of the batteries there's a black cover, is that just to keep dirt and debris from building up or does it serve another purpose? i know most batteries are covered, like tractors and such. but the excavator cover always looks odd to me.

    I always thought when i had my 4 different hitachi's. They had the smoothest hydraulics and damping off anything ive owned. Now i ended up with mostly all Hyundai. Super fast. But not very smooth.

      I found the 6tonne Hyundai robux was smoother than my brand new hitachi zaxis 5.5. The weight isnt balanced as nice. Trimming fully extended. When 3 hydraulic lines work and one maxes out down to 2. Pressure becomes insane
