Drake didn’t understand the value of ownership otherwise he would not have signed a deal for $400million without asking for assets in the deal. At that time, They needed him more than he needed them but now tables have turned. He can go independent if he really wanted. Why not do that.
Drake is a walking contradiction. "Im doing good guys, my mind is in a peaceful place. Business is good, I'm dropping an album soon. Also, this whole beef thing is hurting my career ! But you're gonna need to put more effort into bringing this giant down. Im a victim, and Im suing !"
I get that this is about money but Drakes lawyers just need to be real with him rather than do what all the women are doing (take all his money) and tell him that realistically this case is very far fetched and unlikely to be won. Going directly at Kendrick instead would feel like a more logical option. But what I don't get is the fact that Drake is clearly a guy that the streets do not respect in any shape or form (this is most commonly the reason people give why he shouldn't rap, because he's 'soft' and doesn't understand the street life etc). So they keep saying he's not part of the culture and doesn't belong in it, yet they get mad when he instead choses his legal team to handle situations (the civilian way) rather than taking it to the streets. Make your mind up lol!
... is it possible that in a weird universe the weird album run he's had was to "fluff" the contract...? Cause I know "Not Like Us" is the reason he's lost even more money than respect, but a part of me thinks maybe *[maybe]* it gave him an opening to take the label on and not care what happens cause he's lost everything anyway. Like he's done this and it's been framed as another empty jab at "not like us" but maybe because he's fallen he felt like it was the time to take the money and run. Watching this the thinking seems like "Whether UMG pay me direct or the court forces a settlement I'll be fine and publicly decline with private wealth and I'll never have to perform in 3 different cities a week for 2 years straight, again"
Again, I don't know, not even looking to scapegoat him from what he's shown us to be a really problematic person. But I do see the side where I remember Michael not getting the same push on his "Invincible" album despite it being a really good album musically then using him for "This is it" until it was all he had left... These people don't give a fuq and he was the last to know... 22:06 *There we have it!! This is the one!!*
I’m all about projects with real-world use cases, and Alemio payment solutions make it stand out from the crowd. Get it cheap while you can, or cry later.
The music industry is fine. Michael Jackson, with 50% of Sony/ATV's catalog, including the Beatles, couldn't take it down. How can Drake, with only his catalog and most streams from 2018 and older albums, do it? Drake's efforts are desperate attempts hoping for a discovery.
Glad to have clicked on this video which actually showcases the thought process and workings of filing the lawsuits. I now understand why he filed it, not just a bitch move toward kendrick and the regular butthurt loser behavior, but because he actually did get impacted financially & strategically by the song and cannot disappear for a while to lessen the damage like everyone advised him to. The whole "right message wrong messenger" phrase is not quite the case though considering he has always benefited from the system and has been the corporate golden boy for most of his career, blaming a company for not blocking an artist from releasing a song is wild, and the defamation allegation is just as insane considering the shit he said about kendrick and how his accusations can literally be filed against him as well. It's overall a messy situation, not only a hiphop taboo. I think he really might be derailing his career further because even if he somehow wins this (unlikely considering whatever resources he has are still not comparable to a corp on this level), he'll still get punished for going against the system that championed him. Anyway seeing Ak used as proof on legal docs is funny ngl
I think this label pushing songs is extremely overblown. Obviously an artist early in their career need labels to push their songs but a well established artist like a Kendrick or Drake can go independent and be fine. With that being said I think Drake’s reputation has taken too much of a hit and the quality of his music has declined a ton in the last 9 years imo that I don’t think he will generate the same sales going forward. I think Drake’s career is going to continue to decline.
Drake wants to do all this when it was effecting him. But where was all this when Atlantic records did the same shady business deals to get Cardi b to #1?!? Where was Drake then? Oh but now that the hate train is now on him he cries?!? Woooow 😅

5:09 for reference this was literally earlier this year (2024). Bro was on top of the world at the beginning of the year (January). Now he’s the biggest bozo ever (November)
Drake didn’t understand the value of ownership otherwise he would not have signed a deal for $400million without asking for assets in the deal. At that time, They needed him more than he needed them but now tables have turned. He can go independent if he really wanted. Why not do that.
I feel like listening to 🎵 Not like us 🎶 after this 💯
Drake is a walking contradiction.
"Im doing good guys, my mind is in a peaceful place. Business is good, I'm dropping an album soon. Also, this whole beef thing is hurting my career ! But you're gonna need to put more effort into bringing this giant down. Im a victim, and Im suing !"
good info. Thanks
"Sift Through Drakes Data Dump" 😂😂😂😂
Watching this the thinking seems like
"Whether UMG pay me direct or the court forces a settlement I'll be fine and publicly decline with private wealth and I'll never have to perform in 3 different cities a week for 2 years straight, again"
Tbh I wish drake just ignored all this and release the album he will be fine with his fans but these lawsuits will destroy him forever
I’m all about projects with real-world use cases, and Alemio payment solutions make it stand out from the crowd. Get it cheap while you can, or cry later.
I cannot WAIT to see the record label retaliate and all the dirt Kendrick alluded to in his disses come to light
Drake literally waited for Kendrick to drop so he can “step on” Dot record because if he felts like this prior why he wouldn’t he try to sue then???
DRAKE IS NO PRINCE AND SHOULD NEVER BE MENTIONED IN THE SAME SENTE😢NCE!
this is all asap rocky fault … if he never let kendrick in 1 train 🤣🤣🤣
The music industry is fine. Michael Jackson, with 50% of Sony/ATV's catalog, including the Beatles, couldn't take it down. How can Drake, with only his catalog and most streams from 2018 and older albums, do it? Drake's efforts are desperate attempts hoping for a discovery.
One of DJ Akademik’s video is cited as source material😭😭😭
those practices are already illegal. the petition is him saying "look, they're doing something illegal"
Didn`t know pettiness had a twin. Drake is like a child.
Very well explained
At this point, the only thing Drake can do to stay as dominant in the industry as he has is to publicly advocate for the existence of Israel.
I think Drake’s career is going to continue to decline.
i thought Drake fed Kenny the information😂😂😂
Drake not curling the 45s 😂
finally an unbiased video
TYSM ❤
Do you think the hells angels like this move?
WOW, THIS WAS A WELL RESEARCHED VIDEO…… 😮 #amazingJOB
What you highly anticipated, it just droped
Whose voice is this?
Weather they do it or not Drake is snitching 😂 he benefited one time from it but now he’s exposing 😂 yeah buddy that’s snitching
Drake making the same mistake p diddy make with the owners of ciroc
This is one-in-a-bull-run opportunity, you don´t wanna miss Alemio Network presale
Drake wants to do all this when it was effecting him. But where was all this when Atlantic records did the same shady business deals to get Cardi b to #1?!? Where was Drake then? Oh but now that the hate train is now on him he cries?!? Woooow 😅
I hope they don’t kill Drake off 😔
😂😂 bro at this rate he’s either going be unalived or end up in prison for something random
It’s the 60s,70s,80s streaming only. Ppl keep including the 90s which is not true. Micheal Jackson catalog alone is worth more than drake shit 😂
How is a surprise drop highly anticipated
That how you know chatGPT didn’t write the script
It's Drake VS Higher ups and we already what Jehovah said bout them boys. Drake having ya Drake. You were our Mj. The world is a stage and there a new player.
assuming the rumors are true, if aubrey was indeed involved in xxx's murder and UMG leaned on the scale so the court wouldn't look into it, what is stopping them from leaning on the scale again so his petitions are thrown out?, aubrey is going against a titan of endless might all on his own, and that titan is not gonna take his shit, aubrey needs UMG, UMG does NOT need aubrey
TO BE CLEAR, i am rooting for UMG crushing aubrey, I'm simply pointing out the situation aubrey has created for himself
XXX case is about to be reopened. One of the convicted guys is asking for an appeal and Drake was mentioned again.
UMG is not going to lose
There was a video of p diddy and drake talking about gematria got a weird feeling something gonna happen to him if he wins this lawsuit
RIP XXXTentacion 🙏
We know what really happened 🦉
That case is supposedly being reopened, because one of the convicted guys is asking for a retrial and named Drake again.
I can’t tell if rapaholicz is Canadian until he says “against” 😅
