Finally a spiral water pump video that provides statistics - thank you - thank you. Obviously more water in the ditch than coming from the pump are multiple pumps being run? Thanks for the comments on the coupling - always my concern.
so, just to confirm......the diameter of the wheel is 6 feet. and it lifts the water 18 feet ? two missing pieces of info: what is the diameter of the pipe attached to the wheel which collects the water? how fast is the stream following?
th-cam.com/video/vpfPDR2VssY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=cBBRHZhcbrTJCp2W In this system the water rises only upto the radius of this spiral wheel, And no continuous flowing. If four opening (A) with 90° spiral hose may will continuous flowing water. Single hose pipe meny spiral no speshal effect and no any compression in this system.
I'm also having problems finding the rotating adapters - some seem to be quite expensive - let's hope we get enough pressure that need one of the expensive ones - but to start - can some link to their favorite products?
Yes - where the rotating pipe meets the fixed pipe - I would also like to know more. I have seen situations where the spinning pipe is extended up the hill, but this seems better and it doesn't look like an expensive coupling. .... and the hub of the wheel that supports the spokes - wonder where to buy the round plates.
8 liters per minute is about 3,000 gallons per day. You have a very nice looking pump and I'm wondering what changes could give more water pumped? You don't seem to be having any trouble turning the wheel even with a fairly slow flowing stream - I wonder would happen if a bigger hose and or scoop was used what would happen. Hopefully we will get into comparisons on facebook.com/groups/240458583255303/ and save us all a lot of trial and error time. I really like the design of your wheel. How did you decide on the number of wraps in the coil?
We fabricated the joints. Yes, there are a lot of coupling on sale but the problem is it might not fit to the designed/desired tube. We used LIP SEAL as gaskets. Can be bought in Auto Supplies Shop.
