Well in a sense that is sort of what the video is about! The one thing that I hope people take away from the video is that experiencing a real relationship with Jesus Christ is so much better than trying to be like the world. Many of the things in our world (including social media) are made to be addictive, and if we're not careful we can waste away our years consuming content instead of being salt and light in a dark world. Thanks for stopping by, and if you don't know who Jesus is and want to know more about him then please let me know and I would love to share with you!

@@Peeps4Jesus The thing that drove me away from Jesus and from God was reading the Bible from cover to cover. All the killings on Gods command, all the blood sacrifice, obsession with who has sex with who and how, treating women like 3rd class creatures, God committing genocide etc etc None of it looks like a masterpiece from an all knowing, all powerful and all loving being. Instead it all sounds like a group of people trying to control another group of people = business as usual. However, I enjoy reading the Bible now casually as I always find something new there that I missed from last time. Hope this answers your question.
@@craigedwards2411 Thank you so much for your honest response Craig. I really appreciate it and to be honest I used to struggle with a lot of the things you point out (and still sometimes do for that matter). I used to be totally confused with the concept of blood sacrifice and with all the killing and brutality from the old testament too, and it used to bother me that an all-powerful God would allow evil in this world. I think the best explanation for it all is that God isn't responsible for bringing sin/evil into the world; we as humans are. When Adam and Eve ate the apple in Genesis, they ushered sin and death into our world, which was never meant to be a place where either of those two things existed. Furthermore, it prevented humans from being able to have a relationship with God, completely ruining one of the main reasons God created us in the first place (i.e. to have a relationship with him). In the Old Testament, there was no easy way for humans to purge themselves of sin and thereby reestablish a connection and relationship with God. One of the ways that this was accomplished during that time though was through animal sacrifice, where an innocent creature had to take on someone's sins so they could become sinless and righteous in the eyes of God. It sounds totally messed up (and even as I type it I'm like "wait, that doesn't sound like a loving God at all!"), but I think that's the point. It IS messed up. Sin was never supposed to be here and innocent creatures were never supposed to die, and although I'm sure God hated seeing innocent blood shed, I think it shows how much he loves us. This is one of the main reasons why what Jesus did in dying on the cross for humanity was so amazing, and why he is referred to as the "lamb of God." He was born of a virgin (so he wasn't born of Adam's seed, which carried sin) and was God's only son. And just like the innocent lambs in the Old Testament, God Himself sent this only son of his to die as a sacrifice for our sins, spilling his blood so we could be made righteous and have a connection and relationship with God again. Sorry for the essay haha dang I went a little crazy there! But I hope that makes some sense. And without getting too into all the other stuff you brought up (we would be here all day for that, or night, or whenever you read this haha) I just want to say that it's okay to have questions when it comes to Christianity and the Bible. I think there have been times in recent history where Christianity became overly dogmatic, and although there are definitely unbiblical teachings out there, it's important to know that it's okay (and actually good) to have questions when it comes to faith, our existence, purpose, and so on. Thanks again Craig and if you ever have questions about this stuff I'd be more than happy to try and answer them as best as I can!

Ask someone today if they are saved and
you will most likely hear responses like these:
“I have accepted Jesus into my heart.” Or “I
have made him Lord of my life.” “I’ve been
baptized.” “I said a prayer.” Sounds all good
and churchy don’t it; but it is difficult to de-termine whether or not a person actually

It is for this reason of not being able to

and judgement that was intended for us sinners. And it is through his bloodshed, burial,

able to have peace with God and forgiveness
of our sins (1 Cor 15:1-4, Col 3:14). This good

It is then after we have heard this good
