Thank you so much for this. Just got a used Caprice and I don't think the fob that was included was for my car. I changed the battery and tried some other methods, but didn't think to check the menu in the car. Seems so obvious now lol. Worked perfectly and now the fob locks, unlocks and pops the trunk.
Be mindful, if you got a key like that you might have a fleet vehicle. There may be dozens of cars out there that can unlock and drive away in your car unless you get new keys cut and reprogrammed.
Dude, I’m looking forward to more tech videos of any sort on the caprice ppv. I’m looking to twin turbo mine but it will be a while. Can’t find any aftermarket so everything apparently needs to be custom unfortunately.

This might be a dumb question but when you say turn on the car you mean full start the car up right? I’m do this on Monday since my keys are arriving tomorrow for my G8
My engine immobilizer message came on because iv tried starting it with the new key. I saw your video and did the program and the car starts and runs normally but the immobilizer message is still on, odd. Do you know how to reset the immobilizer, the message bothers me haha
Hey I’ve got a 2012 and the ‘remote key’ section isn’t in my menu. All the other ones you have are just not that one. Do you know how I could program a fob without that? Thanks
I'm having some problems with my radio for my 2012 Chevrolet Caprice the radio does not work and the air condition does not work the controls do you have any ideas or help that could fix it
No they are not compatible because the 2014 also has passive unlocking and locking you walk up to the car and you press the button on the door to unlock and you just walk away and the car locks you also have push button start on the 2014 I have never used the key itself on my 2014

Australia is 433mhz usa is on 315mhz so its on the wrong frequency for your vehicle.
