Well done Sim, this is so useful. I have been looking into getting some dye to colour my mould castings, but was overwhelmed by the variety of products and colours. Many thanks for this video, it has saved me both time and money and now means that I can find a reliable source of the exact colours that I was after.
Keep up the great work and of course, Have Fun,
    Joe

Great video Simon. A few things I noticed would be the red and terracotta look much different from a distance and the sage green would make an excellent flight deck in a sci-fi theme. Thank you.

Hi Si! Happy birthday bud. Great video. Samples ordered. Even the samples are good value for money while we work out the way to go. I am hoping they can reproduce enough of a different shade in the moulds to save having to paint the moulds. loving your work.

Really helpful video Simmon, did you try mixing the pigments before casting just to see how they turn out. I find all your video very helpful. Thanks for sharing Simmon

I am currently trying some of these following your recommendation as I have been having fading issues using acrylic paints for colour. Have you had any issues with curing time for your castings. i use Cassini's outdoor plaster and have found curing time can be almost double for a coloured mix as opposed to non coloured. Loving working my way through your video's by the way. very helpful.

Thanks for a great video, like all your videos I have watched. Could it be worth it to buy dry pastels and grind them down into powder. Maybe worth a try for you? :) Toison D'or has a lot of difrent and cheap colours. Cheers!

Hi Simon, thanks for letting us in on this and sharing your experiments and letting us know where you got it from. It will save a lot of legwork and is very much appreciated. One question if I may, do you add the pigment to the casting powder and then add water, or do you add it to the water and then add that to the casting powder? Thanks again for all you do. Paul

Thanks for the reply, much appreciated. I realise you must be very busy with all you do, and that's nice of you to offer to do a video and it would be great to see it. Thanks again Paul.
