I love my Magneto Starlab combination, mainly to run my Moog sound studio and Dotcom through, but now I have space for more modules 😅 Great track and advice, thank you 😊
Nice! I think you’ve got a decent amount of modulation in that case - especially when you’re planning to do a lot by hand anyway. VCAs to modulate your modulation are absent though - a single quad would give a lot and maybe add some mixing options for a dry chain? I usually put the data bender pre delay/reverb to soften its edges, so I’ll try switching this up. Nice shout on the Ochd expander too - I think I’d spotted a pic of it somewhere but hadn’t clocked what it was. I love Ochd so it almost a no brainer for me. :)
i wish people would start making more modern software vst open source implementations of these midi generator type things.. i have a few of them i collect every one i can find,, but im always so jealous of the hardware ones.. almost all of the free vst ones are kindof old or not perfectly stable so risky to use in a live performance
great tips! i’ve thought a lot about the whole signal being wet and it’s bothered me, but maybe i’m just giving myself excuses not to create. also, i didn’t know you could power the SP from the modular, that’s very convenient!
some nice patch work Oora, and paired with the 404, the sound becomes highly sophisticated. I know you're working in preparation for an upcoming show, but do you feel like you will be using a modular setup, as your main instrument, as opposed to the PerFourmer?
Dude. I'm a big dude - where do you get your tshirts? they look like they might actually fit me! Oh right...love the music too, haha. (but really, you convinced me to get the 404)
Thank you very much for this insight. What always confuses me in the interaction of each device with the SP is that apparently BPM of the samples from SP don't matter or did you tune them to a tempo with your rack?
I completely dont look at that. it automatically calculate bpm but most of the time get it wrong. I just trigger stuff manually with it so I dont bother :)

Wow! Remarkable. Considerable jump forward with this.

got the idea from @cruush-love
Big thanx Federico for sharing your amazing workflow🖤! Greetings 🖖☺️

Great setup. Data Bender would sound awesome also before a delay and a reverb.
yea I agree, im actually considering to put it before the starlet

thanks again
my pleasure

I find the SP more and more interesting...
A great little sampler
it is simple and effective!
❤🎉
The mk2 is a cassette player on steroids.

A limiter on an ambient rig? Is that a thing?

Love the powerful simplicity, way too easy to get bogged down with options in Eurorack
that was my main issue!
stories in bleeps and bloops;-)
