This song will always hold a place in my heart. Not just because of the message but because of the fact that my band (in my senior year of high school) played this in a concert as our final song and it felt like a very good way for me and other upper class men to remember all the fun we had during our years and saying goodbye to our school.
Hello Mr. Standridge. Our school has just received both "Scream" and "Stay" and I just want to say that these pieces definitely capture every moment extremely well. I remember when I was feeling very suicidal and I thought to myself of all of the reasons I should stay in the world, so I went and hugged my mother. That feeling was the same feeling I got when listening to "Stay". I must say you've done an amazing job capturing exactly what we need to hear. It shows hope, and opens its arms and invites us to stay a while. Thank you, Mr. Standridge, for giving me another reason to Stay.
As someone who has been dreaming to participate in a project like this, I commend you for two beautiful and emotional pieces. Both pieces put their messages out there, especially "Stay." Personally, I have dealt with mental illness (depression, etc.) and have lost people who did not think the world was better with them in it. I cried while listening to Stay because it reminded me of everything I have been through personally, and look where I am today. It also made me reminisce memories of some close friends and family members that I have lost to instances where they did not think they were enough. The emotions through this piece are powerful and meaningful to the players who will play it, the conductors who will conduct it, and the audiences who will listen to it. My students and I are beyond thrilled to be participating in this. Thank you Mr. Standridge for writing these pieces and for promoting mental health awareness. As the subtitle says on the score, The world is better with you in it. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, and I cannot wait to play these pieces in the next few months!! Musically, Doug Torres
Love the song I'm a trumpet player in the bullard band first day I got it I just had to go home and Do the whole piece. Can't wait to play it for festival thank you for creating peace. 😉🙂.
Mr. Standridge, I am a percussionist at riverwood middle school and we just played this song on Monday and it is amazing. I almost like it as much as choose joy. Keep up the good work.
Absolutely beautiful! Another piece of the unBroken project I feel I need to order. I wish I'd been able to send this to one of my music friends who made the decision not to Stay, along with the note "I look forward to playing this with you".
I’m a student at BHS and I can just say I’m so honored to be able to preform a piece of yours with such deep meaning. I’m playing crotales for the first time and this is the perfect opportunity and I wouldn’t trade it for any other piece out there. I also adore your witching hour
Hi Randall! I just came over from the last video, and I have 2 questions, just not about the changes. 1: I was wondering if you were even considering making ANIMATION episode 2 because the first one is my favorite song ever. 2: How do you make the percussion 1 and 2 and stuff in Finale?
absolutely love your music! Though i have one question, why did you decide to make these two very contrasting pieces at the same time? Both sound great, hope i can play them!

I was feeling both things at once. Plus, I wanted to show off a little bit (I can do multiple styles at once in my brain)
@@randallstandridge i see, i hope one day i can make music as great as yours
