What I like in Damien Leone cinematography style, is that feel of claustrophobia. It really feels like you're alone in the world and no one to help you. It has a great feel for horror movies!

It's a based off older grind house and 1980s horror classica. Look at films like death proof or any b horror movie. It's very fitting for the films soft color pallette, while having wide open shots of cities. He also uses small rooms very well. Notice how when people are close to art the clown it starts a close up of the actors or art, also how it's in a tighter setting. It really is a nice touch, I think he took a few questions from John Carpenter on that one, my guess is he really likes halloween. Rewatch the first (1978) Halloween and you'll see what I mean.

bro didn't even have lines. his acting is still good and all but if anything that raise should go to the costume and makeup department or the writers
id say that more him more scary. he had to rely on only facial expressions and unsettling movement. for sure the costume is scary but don’t think he has no talent just because he has no lines

All of them, especially the actress because he was naked and hanging there, of course had to endure a lot in that escene. The pig's intestines smelled like shit, the actor talked about it and the place that they had filmed this, is not a film set.
Terrifier 1 feels so much like a "concept". They pitch it to showcase the talent and possibilities with the character. So glad that the sequel is coming out. Hopefully this brings in so many knew people into the horror genre.

Both this movie and the sequel are masterpieces. The low budge did not bother at all because the writting and acting of the clow is so good. So much better than the other slashers from the last decade that had tons of $ for production but failed at every level because of the lack of boldness by their directors.

Lmao writing. It's very successful in what it's trying to achieve which is a showcase for talent and visual effects. The films are ass though other than a cool villain and some cool gore.
The 2nd one was an absolute disappointment.

I would argue that in the range of what they were trying to be, they were very good. Just a visually cool call back to 80s and 90s slashers with practical effects, good cinematography and a cool soundtrack. Theyre fun and have the right kind of heart; for me at least

But I specifically remember that scene where she was yelling at art to get the f up and I'm like girl I know you're obviously angry but there are a lot of things you could at least attempt before he DOES get back up...lol. but I guess we all know there's no saving yourself from Art anyway 😂

It's the filming and cinematography that intricately captures the horror aspect so well. Damien Leone executes perfectly...literally.

This is one of my favorite horror movies in general. It has something and captures a vibe that most horror movies don’t have nowadays. This movie is just very disturbing which what makes it scary, and the gory also makes it a crazy good film. Can’t wait for Terrifier 3
You can't compare Art with Pennywise at all.
Pennywise terrifies your mind, Art cut you in pieces. The real and scarier clown is the original Pennywise because he looked EXACTLY, like an innocent clown.
When he smiles, Art The Clown is scarier than ever
The girl with the black hair looks like Neve Campbell from Scream 3 or Wild Things

It's just random. Literally whoever he encounters
Eye contact or social contact. He only seems to go after people that interact with him.
If I saw that clown, I would not walk but run the hell away from him the instant he came in.
The director is really quite talented and the practical effects are spectacular.

Art the Clown has this very threatening aura to him. Just his presence alone can make a scene intense. That's the reason I love the first movie so much. Just watching him and his antics are very entertaining.

The only two emotions I ever felt when looking at clowns were sadness or pure terror (all depending on vibe and expression). Following seeing pennywise and art the clown, that sleeping terror has awakened yet again.

Idk honestly. The way I see it I think he can talk but is just really good at not doing it, I mean when he gets stabbed in the back by a knife, in the foot with a nail, and is getting whipped he is showing signs of pain but doesn’t even let out a peep.
