True. Dedede has worn 4 unique masks, (2 are similar but different): his mask in super star ultra, taranza’s mind control mask that gets cracked in triple deluxe, 1 in Kirby fighters 2, and his new boar mask in forgotten land. Meta knight has 3 unique masks: his usual mask, the mind control mecha knight robot mask in planet robobot, and his mask in Kirby fighters 2. Considering Kirby fighters 2 isn’t canon to my knowledge Dedede canonically has worn 3 different, and meta knight has only worn 2 different masks

@@Masterbaiter-yx2ll its very complicated, battle royale, both fighters games, canvas curse, tilt and tumble and mass attack are all canon, the 2 clash games are in another dimension, blowout blast is a re-telling of dream land and the soul bosses in true arenas and extra modes with other characters (example being meta knightmare returns) are not canon with the exception of the soul boss in forgotten land being canon. its a mouthful, isnt it?

Dedede already had decent mobility in the games, especially with his large jumps clearing plenty of distance, but it wasn’t anything too unmanageable
So I felt nothing but true fear the second he started running on all fours faster than Kirby could ever hope to go

Dedede has been used as villian quite a few times, those being Dreamland, Super Star/Ultra, and the Anime. He is an Anti-Villian in Kirby's adventure meaning he is the villian while trying to do good or heroic things, it's not commonly used as villian are almost always depicted as just pure evil.
If we count spinoff games, there are the modern Kirby 3DS games especially Battle Royale where Dedede refuses to accept that Kirby beat him and hops on a Robot to destroy Kirby. The only time it felt like rivals is on Kirby Fighters 2. Most of the other times he's just possessed and that his contribution to the story.

@@Hamaxe well side special makes more sense to send him charging forward in a powerful way than a dash attack imo, and you can’t just replace the iconic trip. Dedede’s done that trip attack since the first Kirby game on the Game Boy, removing that would just be wrong.

I’d like to say that this is probably the scariest Dedede I’ve ever seen, just by how brutal his moveset is alone.
He throws away his hammers, preferring to use his bare hands to either pummel you to death or burn you alive with flaming tornados, and if that wasn’t savage enough, if he successfully inhales you, he starts chewing on your head!
I know it’s not as brutal as I’m making it out to be, but the concept of King Dedede trying to rip my face off with his teeth is just scary.
