I’m well aware this arrangement is nigh unplayable in this state. This was more so intended as a transcribing practice for myself, meant to be a direct translation of the band version onto a keyboard. Somewhere in there, though, there’s a playable version. And i use this full transcription as a tool to find what works best for me and my ability. I encourage you all to find your version in it. If you know your limits and know what you’re doing, you can make a version that suits your ability best.
super helpful, i need to make an arrangement of this for my high school jazz band which is a different ensemble than the original score is intended for- this is so much faster to read!!! thx so much
You say "in this state" does it mean that you are working of a easier-to-read version of this? The work you have done is incredible, but for me (a bad sight reader) it is impossible to play.
This is really cool but there needs to be alterations to the arrangement for a human to play this properly. There are too many overlapping notes with the hands right on top of each other and there are notes in the wrong hand asking for impossible reaches that could be switched to the other hand as well as scale runs that are nearly impossible at that speed. Everything is here to make a great arrangement, but this is as if it was meant for a band to play not taking into account the restraints of a human at the piano.
I’m pretty sure that in the original caravan, most of the time the piano doesn’t play the right hand of this arrangement. The horns play the right hand/melody, the piano supplements the orchestra. If u wanna learn the piano, listen to the original and find out which parts are necessary
Pretty good Ik you know it's unplayable but also, another issue is that perhaps the voicings don't all match well Some sections have huge big band esque chords and some others have tiny closed voicings Which is perfectly fine when it seems purposeful, but a general rule of thumb is to at least match it to the octave level of the melody. Although that being said, that's a very small issue Great arrangement, good job
this is extremely good I just wish upon the silent parts you would have put some form of improvisation. I know that the drums and the piano and very different instruments but even still I'm positive there is a way to improvise on these specific lines that would somewhat fit the song you did replicate extremely well.
thanks. if i hear this a little bit more it’s gonna make me hate caravan. sounds like garbage. i’m sorry, but you don’t just dump all the notes when transcribing.
1:29 dude this PART IS SO GOOD. HOW THE HELL DID YOU TRANSCRIBE THIS ABSOLUTELY UNIQUE MELODY?? SO IMPRESSED

Improvise and adapt. Feel it
@@YUNGBISCH You need a piano master to play this

Love the film and Caravan! I think there's a couple of mistakes in here but I couldn't do half of what you're doing transcribing it so well
The weeks of hair pulling i endured to get this just right, let me tell ya
