    Hi Mads! Nice video. The random church you mention is located around minute 3:20 is in Sopra Siusi (Seis) and is called Chiesa di San Valentino. It's a church I always loved (I recognized it thanks to the mountain in the back). ;)

      Claudia Müller thank you Claudia! Not sure which church picture you mean? But it's either the canon 16-35 f/4 or sigma 24-105 f/4 ART

    You make an interesting point Mads. Is social media spoiling some of the worlds iconic locations? Can they ever live up to the level of expectation and are we photographers to blame?

    • @MadsPeterIversen
      @MadsPeterIversen  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Chris Sale well we're definitely getting aware of more beautiful locations! And then more people go there so the serene part of the places goes away :/

    Hi Mads. I think I'm starting to make a habit out of following your advice about photography locations :) I'm going to try to photograph Santa Maddalena and the san Giovanni Church. In the summer would you say this is a sunrise or sunset location?

  • @dmonaghan99
    @dmonaghan99 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    I'll be visiting Slovenia (from Australia) for a week of photography in April and noted Lago di Braies is only a 3 hour drive from lake Bled. I was briefly tempted by the idea of visiting but it quickly evaporated when I saw the scenes with mobs of tourists. Pity, it's looks stunning.

    • @MadsPeterIversen
      @MadsPeterIversen  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      dmonaghan99 it is very beautiful and well worth a visit, but it's true there are a lot of people there and getting something original is hard. But as you see I really like my photo, so I guess it's worth a try. I bet Lake Bled is also hugely crowded :p

    Mads, sublime images yet again and was wondering if there has been any occasions where you have visited and decided not to take an image. Also what was it you done to recover the image in photoshop that you spoke about in your video

    • @MadsPeterIversen
      @MadsPeterIversen  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      scotty4418 thanks a lot! Nope I always take a photo, it's just data, it can be deleted ;)
      What photo are you referring to? :)

    • @waindalton8575
      @waindalton8575 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Mads will probably answer for himself, but I'll have a go.
      >>>what was it you done to recover the image in photoshop that you spoke about in your video
      Because those nasty ol' tourists move around, you can take several shots, each of which includes a figure but none of which includes figures in the exact same exact locations. For each location that includes a figure, choose from among your images one in which no tourist appears in that location. Then combine the images in Photoshop using layers and layer masks. Just make sure to have your camera on a tripod so that the composition remains the same in each shot. It's tricky, but it works.

      At 6:38 in your video you refer to photoshop trickery. Was curious as to what you applied in PS

    Hi Mads - Thank you for your videos! Was this one taken this year? If so, from the looks of the trees in Lago di Braies, you were there about a week after I was or maybe even around the same time, i.e. October 14-21. I didn't have the best conditions and only had one day with decent high clouds. The thing I was most disappointed in was the amount of HAZE over the alps...for the entire time I was there. Coming over the pass from Slovenia, you couldn't even SEE most of the alps as I arrived in the Dolomites from the afternoon haze. Just wondering if you ran into the same challenges, and if this is usual for Autumn shooting in the Dolomites.

    always so nice your videos Mads. Going to the Dolomites this summer, I wanted to see the "Lago di Braies" the place is beautiful, but when I arrived there the magic has disappeared, too much tourist too much, this is the problem in our time all these known places are full of tourists who all want to get the same picture. During my trip I found another church less known but very pretty too in a stormy atmosphere visible here . www.flickr.com/photos/lebelge/37096952256/in/dateposted-public/,
