Seriously, joining USA is the best course of action for Greenlanders, as their population is below 60,000 which is similar to America's democracy. Also, the population is too low to subject to invasion by other big powers and have perpetual protection by USA (unlike NATO, the treaty can be cancelled adhering to conditions). Maybe, what the Greenlanders can ask for, is 50% of the proceeds of coal and rare mineral sales go into an Greenlander's investment fund for perpetual payment of 20% of investment interests go to share with native Greenlanders (not American migrating there) and the other 80% of investment interests go back into the investment fund.
