People kept comparing this to an AUV-based MPV(Innova) and to a crossover-based one(Okavango) but this is a straight-up MPV, ala Odyssey. I for once also doubted GAC but upon test driving their vehicles last 2019 at a test drive event in MOA, build quality and driving characteristics of these GAC vehicles are surprisingly beyond average and something far from what you'd typically feel from a Chinese vehicle. Perhaps the most underrated Chinese brand here in the market rn.

I like the GAC brand (esp. with the performance of the GA4 sedan in the Kalayaan Cup and Bonifacio Cup), but at this point, it's really difficult to beat the Innova here in our country. Period.
Since GAC has joint ventures with Toyota and Honda in China, can we assume the good quality and reliability of GAC vehicles? I hope they are of Toyota/Honda-like quality. I appreciate if you will share your opinions about this 😊👍
Let’s do a COMPARO!!! Please Caco! Do a comparo with all large MPV! Oh and advance congratulations on reaching 300k subs! Remember, I was first to greet you guyz! This car kinda looks like a GEELY OKAVANGO!
I wonder why Chinese cars, especially SUVs and MPVs have that huge slab rear, and rear-quarter design. It's off putting sometimes. Especially with the Azkarra; it could've been an overall good-looking car but that rear-quarter really puts me off. And this GAC's steering wheel reminds me a lot of Toyota.
i think this car's a bit confusing.. 1. it looks like an innova but its not.. 2. its seems that its as big as an innova but its engine sorely lacking in size..i guess that's why its 300k lower in price 3. they've made a good captain's chair but they also made the driver's area techie..so when ur planning to buy this..should you buy this because you want to sit at the back to enjoy the special seats or do you want to buy this because you want to drive it? 4. it has manual mode but there's no pedal shifters..the manual shifter is also located at the shifting area..you might get into accident while driving it..
Nice car but quality-wise how can we compare a Japan-made Toyota Innova than ths GAC GN6 from China and the fact that the latter is 2.8 liter while the other is 1.5 liter. They are both MPV and with 7-seater capacity and the price of GAC which is Php 1.4 M is already the price of Toyota Innova Top Variant, the V-Variant.
This MiniVan is very nice for 7 Passengers. But very expensive at almost 1.5M nearly hit the MidSize SUV price bracket. Better Buy Mitsubishi Expander with peace of mind Hi Resale value.
test drove expander with only 3 people in the vehicle good smooth ride and comfort but when we drove up any hills vehicle was extremely noisey and loud engine!! deal breaker for me
China brand...reliability still a question...and does it really do what it says it do...not sure how true these chinese specs are..if the product be approved in Japan or EU or North America. .I may consider or...guess not.
When you see Caco holding an umbrella while reviewing screams commitment 💪🤘 appreciate it bruh 😎

hows the pull when fully loaded?

Planning to test drive one this weekend. Yup me too im not in to that china-phobia sort of thing.
Hello! How's your GAC a year after? I'm considering this vs Veloz/Xpander Cross. How's the after-sales and parts availability as well?
Same question as Kate above!
That 3rd row seat implementation is just wow
The 3rd row seats implementation It's not new they copied Toyota Sienna
They just copied it from Sienna.
GAC is under Toyota's umbrella. That's Toyota engineering.

@@Jan-xf8sk Toyota and GAC are sharing R&D. Even Toyota's chief engineer is now with GAC. So it's not copying.
I like these GAC cars. They just need to establish their name in the country and give competitive financing and good after sales service
Chavit Singson's the name behind the brand in the Philippines. I believe his company is the main distributor
While looking at the car, I realized that if Suzuki updated the APV, it would look like this.
To answer your question, I got my GN6 feb this year and even at full load, it still performs the same. HP and torque are more than enough.
Sana gac ga4 naman sumunod.i really love that devilish drls and interior
Please make a Behind the Wheel of 2022 GAC GS4 Sir Caco.
Its like a hybrid of toyota alphard and sienna👌🔥
MPV with all the nice goodies and a big hauler. As usual nice review sir caco. 🐫🙏🤗
Congrats sir caco for 300K subs. Watching here from Alaminos Pangasinan.
please review more of GAC, i think it’s one of the most underrated chinese car company here in the philippines
It's the only chinese brand to root for. It's the Huawei of Cars. Huawei before the ban, that is.
Agreed!! 100%
That's correct.
True!

Antonio, you're doing all the kids proud 😂
Great review just before the lockdown.
Okavango still.
Okavango is a home run for a reformed Geely, same as Coolray. Android Auto/Carplay na lang ang kulang.
Funny you have to explain that it's not a sport car??? Thanks Caco, yet another great review...
Just wow to those captain chairs and convertible third row seats!!!❤❤❤❤
Very nice car. With that price point, Innova is a good choice MPV…but those captain chairs tho..deym!🤩

The sluggish-dishes part got me cracking!!! 😂😂😂
Looks good but i will still choose a innova v or g bcoz of parts and reability

The polka-dot umbrella definitely Jack's
Autodeal how about the GAC M6 Pro 1.5GL?

hi good day po can i ask a favor sir if you can possible take a review also about haima v70 and s7 if you have a chance thank you sir.
Big mistake for GAC to price this "not lower" than the Okavango
Trueee
They should price it in Maxus g50 territory
Tru-er than true.
Super expensive.
Sir Caco, can you make video with the cars with captain chair?
Please do a review on the Chevy Tracker
Sir caco can you do a review on ford explorer.. Thanks..
i prefer no slide doors ... easy to use 👍
To all mpv's out there,.Say hello to your new brother family member
The GaC Gn6 😉
3rd row in an okavango, more comfy?
Mas mahal ang Okavango, it should be more comfy and stylish.
It's exterior look was a mix of Innova and Starex🙂
the cockpit is nice
This is pretty damn good for its price. ❤
That Friends reference at 5:12. Lols.
A shout-out from Greece!👍👍👍
Bro how maney camaras in this car
Solid umbrella.
Compare to Maxus G50 please, tnx.
Maxus G50 is more value for money though

Is the GN6 really not that lee-hee-tle or is it Caco? 😂
I don't know, I just hate captain's chairs in cars. Maybe because i like being the driver and not being driven.
Gn6 vs g50 comparo r

Captain Seats
Your move innova..
Toyota Innova killer maybe?
Kala ko Innova 😂✌️
Say that again? “Yengkay”
170hp, now that's about right for 7-seaters.
hp is good, but the torque is not alot
Hp is for speed,Torque is power and torque is needed when you are full of passengers.
What I get from the review:
Pros:
+ Comfy Captain Chairs
+ Interior and Dashboard looks
+ Price
Cons:
- Everything else 😅
cons: Chinese-made
