This one is a Rakugo story "Tenshiki" in English by Shinoharu Tatekawa, performed during a workshop at LASALLE College of the Arts in Singapore.
An old monk calls for a doctor when he feels pain in the stomach.
The doctor asks him, "do you have Tenshiki?", to which he replies, "no", though he actually does not know what Tenshiki means. He was known to be wise, so he could not admit that he didn't know what it meant. So, the old monk calls his apprentice, Chinnen, and tries to use him to find out what Tenshiki means. Find out with the monk what Tenshiki means!

英語落語”TENSHIKI"～古典落語「転失気」の英語版です。
お腹の具合が悪いのであるお寺のご住職がお医者さんを呼ぶと、「転失気はおありですか？」と尋ねられます。ご住職が転失気が何であるか知らないことを打ち明けられないでいるうちに、お医者さんは「お大事に」と言って帰っていきます。仕方がないので、寺の小僧の珍念を使って転失気がなんであるかを知ろうとしますが、、、果たしてどのような意味なのか、英訳をするにあたって変更を加えた部分を含め、お楽しみください。シンガポールのLASALLE College of the Artsでのworkshopでの口演。

This is my first time watching English rakugo, even though i never watch Japanese version, it is kind of hit and miss if you only tell the translated version or you need to modify it so people new to rakugou hit the jokes??
