Black opinion here: Calling Black people "articulate" is a micro-aggression. It insinuates that you assumed that she wouldn't be smart enough to put sentences together. You notice, that no one ever calls white people articulate. It's just ASSUMED that they would naturally be well spoken. But somehow a Black person, speaking without flaw is such a shock to you (subconsciously) that you found it notable. And for the record, Raven didn't say anything groundbreaking.She speaks like any other woman on that panel. What did she say that made her " so articulate?" She was speaking normally.

Not to generalize, but it sounds like those people are more right wing, so I don't know the mindset they are coming from, but it seems that they have a problem with LGBTQ and people of different skin colors being together. All I can say to them is to relax. The inclusion and equality of recognizing gay marriage the same as a straight marriage is not a destruction of straight marriage. We are all the same species--human--so what is the big deal if she marries a white woman? There isn't one.
