    I think we need to clean house. CB, Steichan, Bradley and let the new GM pick his guys. I was 50/50 on Steichan but after further thought on the matter, he didn't change the culture as head coach. He perpetuated the consistant lack of accountability. He didn't hold anyone accountable and just went with the flow. He's Reich 2.0, great guy, but not a tone setter.

    • 61-69-1 record BALLARD & BRADLEY MUST GO!

    So does Ballard stay, or does he go? He needs to go. We need an aggressive GM who brings down the hammer and demands the best out of everyone. Plus, who is not afraid to trade players, picks, and whoever just to bring a championship back here.

  • @legohunter77
    @legohunter77 17 วันที่ผ่านมา +13

    Time to move on from Ballard, he thinks he is smarter than he actually is. His mistakes have cost us a ton: drafting AR, Campbell over DK Metcalf, Latu over a CB, not reinforcing our major needs during FA year after year. His philosophy of building through the draft, has been proven wrong year after year. There is a reason why Chiefs became so dominant after he left. Ballard is a “confort GM”, he will bring you stability but not greatness. To win in the NFL you need greatness.
    Time to hire a new GM (despite the risks of ending with someone worse), you have to take that risk, or nothing is going to change. With Ballard all you can be as a team is being mid and that’s not gonna change until he leaves. Bring in a new GM, who gets the QB he wants, brings the coaches that he wants and let’s begin again. I am sorry for Shane but new GM means new HC, it won’t work if Shane stays, unfortunately for him, he will be a victim of the CBallard era. Maybe the new GM will let him stay as OC

    8 years is enough. Im not even down on ballard, i just recognize his plan didnt lead to wins. I think he had sound reasons behind his choices, it just didnt work out. His philosophy to pay his guys sounds nice, but the guys he hit on are guys he drafted in his first 4 years, and they are positions other teams dont pay. #5....heck of an athlete, but is not a qb. Shane steichen....i dont know, but i think its more probable he beats us coaching from another team than him beating other teams coaching for us.

    Kent…did a little research…I’m no Mike Chappell but…Josh Allen didn’t get going until year 3, after 28 games in his first two years. His completion percentage in 2018 was 52.8% and 58.8% in 2019. Broke into the 60s in 2019. What Richardson needs is leadership and real coaching! Coach him up!! Someone! He’s a 22 year old with untapped athletic ability but unless he’s coached, and coached hard, he’ll fail. And that will be another failure of the post Peyton Manning Colts. I believe in AR5 but he needs a real coach with real leadership to reach the brass ring. I genuinely hope he gets that, proves the haters wrong, and we all get to enjoy the game of football again. Love all your shows Kent!!

      Thanks. I don't know which coach is failing Richardson, but at some point he needs to grow up and take charge of his career. So far, that has been a challenge he has yet to succeed at. Steichen was good with Hurts and Herbert.

    Hey Kent, I know you wanted to draft Bo Nix. However, I think water will find its level with Nix. I wasn't impressed with him at all against the Colts. He's a game manager so unless the Colts improve their defense, having a game manager won't get them to the super bowl.

    Ballard is gone for sure, that's not even an interesting discussion. The defense had a horrible game 16, but they also had a bunch of really good games this year when the offense did nothing. What has shane done to deserve to stay over Gus Bradley? Obviously they should all go. Gus Bradley isn't responsible for the terrible culture the way Shane is, he's not responsible for the consistent game management errors, and he's not making excuses for and protecting our failure of a top draft pick. Shane's interviews are an embarrassment. I cannot listen to this clown for another year. He's earned nothing.

    Wentz was better than we give him credit for. He was known to study and work hard. He played hero ball on the field. In hindsight, the Ballard Colts culture might be why the locker room didn't like Wentz. Maybe, just maybe, he made them look lazy.

      I actually give the team credit for terminating the Wentz relationship when they did. They were able to get out of it fairly cleanly all things considered. I know the moves they’ve made since then haven’t worked out, but Wentz was not the answer.

    • @MrDernagon
      @MrDernagon 16 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@hankhillsurethra I agree. Wentz probably wasn't the answer (but I might take him over Ryan, AR, and Flaco of the last 3 years). I definitely question his football IQ and decision making. But he put it all 200% on the field when he played which I respect. And yes Ballard made a fantastic deal to get out of the Wentz contract from an economic perspective.

    I have a feeling Ballard stays. But the entire coaching staff gets the axe. Several star players get traded for high draft picks. The team will get even younger. A free agent QB will get signed, maybe even a big name. Then another four years until they let Ballard go without resigning. Do the colts go to the playoffs in that time? Hard to say. Probably not.

    Run it back 1 more year with steichen, ballard, and Richardson. It is baffling to me that this fan base had playoff expectations. You basically had a rookie qb. .500 should have been the realistic expectation. But 1 more year of these 3 and you know if AR is a true bust or not, and you tie the coach and gm together with pink slips or extensions. Its a cleaner break. And id like to add, if if if AR had played well, was this not a playoff team? So this idea that the fans have that the team stinks is astoundingly absurd. I honestly think ballard has been cheap in FA because he wanted to see if he has a qb or not and will spend WHEN the team looked ready to really make a run. Why not let your young secondary learn on the job if your team still has a qb learning? He was brought in for sustained success not to gamble on winning a sb 1 year. I love the colts but this fan base is insanely dense sometimes. And to all you threatening to withhold season ticket purchases, winning cures all and if im gm, you guys and your hyperbole would be the last opinion id listen to.
