  • I have been building my shop now for a few years and it has come to my attention that it is a mess! Time to make some shop shelves to clean this place up. In this video I take some 2x4's and some plywood and make four shelves. These things are so strong and really help to get my stuff organized.

Very cool transition effect from old footage in the intro, your editing skills are impressive.
An easier way to hang all 3 shelf supports so that they are level: temporarily attach a horizontal cleat to the wall to support the bottoms. If your layout was consistent the supports will all be level, AND its easier to hold in place while driving the screws.
Another way to cut the notches in the shelf boards is to clamp all 4 shelves together, notch side up, and use your skill saw to cut the sides of the notches all at once. then make repeated passes with the skill saw between the side cuts nibbling away the wood.

Yeah Seth!!! Way to be productive man. I'm delighted with your inquisitive nature, ingenuity and persistence. God bless you in your endeavours, and above all remember to be a loving husband and father who is patient and kind.
I've been a subscriber for about 2 weeks and I find myself binge watching your ram pump stuff and DIY projects. Good job reaching out to your community. I also appreciate your genuineness. If you make a mistake you leave it in, explain it and we get to share your lesson. Please continue with that sincerity. If you don't by the Nutella then the kids will know they can't talk you into serving it.😜

Thank you for subscribing. And watching my videos. I'm definitely prone to making a lot of mistakes and I do you cut out a few of them. But those important ones I usually leave in. Over the years I've watched a few TH-cam channels that had an inauthentic personality and people can see through that pretty quick. Might as well be open and honest. As for these kids of mine they're driving me crazy but worth every minute

Another great build. When you find your shelves full, consider hanging backpacks and other bags from hooks. ❤🌅🌵

I am confident that it is Beefin enough but..... I did not want to risk it.

They look very strong and sturdy. But, they also look too big for the small space. Did you ponder only using two vertical brackets?

Nice, almost like the ones I made for my shop. However, I'd use 1/4" x 4" lag screws instead of drywall screws to hold the standards to the wall. Counter sink them with a flat washer.

I actually used Torx head screws. They are extremely resilient. The washer idea is a good one.
