It also has several small scratches. My biggest complaint is that the leather is so hard. I am hoping to speak to the peeps there tomorrow to find out of it softens with use. If it doesn’t, I’m sending it back and ordering the Napa like you. It was also $500 more than yours. Man, how I wish I had seen your video prior to buying. But thank you for such an awesome review !! I sent my Joybird Elliot back. It looks great but was so hard and uncomfortable. I sat on a Poly and Bark at someone's house the Essex leather and I have never sat on a more comfy buttery real Italian aniline leather. So I ordered one. I'm very picky about comfort because of fibromyalgia.

@@francisanthony6730 I love the Essex, but I sat on a friends. I'm not sure how they feel brand new. I did get the leather sample piece and its buttery soft I scratched at it, wrinkled it and wet it to see the results. It seemed to be very durable. It's real leather not just bonded.

The entire couch is very comfortable. I can tell if you sit in the same spot over and over it will have some wear in it. The bottom cushions seem like they will hold up!! I really like the comfort of the entire sofa. I haven’t had this for more than a month.
It has a 2.0 foam density. That’s ok, nothing special. Higher than 2.0 is best. 1.8 foam density is considered bad, and will lose its firmness in 3 years.
You mentioned that the box was bigger than your front door. When you unboxed it was it much easier to bring inside or did you have to remove your front door? Looking to purchase for apartment and nervous that it won't fit >_
I would pay the extra amount for someone to come in and bring the box close to your door and install it (esp if you are in an apt). They will probably open it outside your apt then bring it up the elevator or stairway one section at a time. If you tell them to leave it in front of your apartment, they will drop it off and leave. (I read that in one review) You need one other person to help carry the couch in sections. I was able to do it with my husband no problem. If you buy the sectional I have, I had to open the box OUTSIDE in front the main door. Then remove each section. It will fit if you open the box outside. I hope this makes sense.
How's the warranty? I was looking it article but maybe I'll go with poly and bark. Also i see they do offer military discounts. Also have you treated the couch?
The didnt have military discounts a year ago! Im so happy they have it now. There wasnt a warranty and I only had a couple weeks to return the item if it wasnt what I wanted. I have not treated the couch. I have had it over a year and its been great. I have spilt droplets of water here and there and no issues with water stains etc. No kids no pets. No sagging in my opinion and great for lounging and watching a movie. My husband and i love this couch. Let me know if you have any questions!
I am not sure. It would be harder and time consuming to get it picked up and replaced. You would have to make sure to keep the boxes. I would call customer service. I'm just happy they gave me a small refund.

Hey! It is the cognac color leather. All the cushions are removable from the couch but you can’t flip them because they have a different material on the back. The couch splits into two sections so two people can carry one section without the cushions easily. I carried one section with my husband to move it into place. But if you get it delivered pay the extra fee to have someone bring the box/couch inside. The box was larger than my front door. Stitching looks great!!! No loose stitches yet! Thanks!
i just dont know if that would be worth it. I bought the couch because i wanted the leather look. If you find someone that does it I would look at pictures. The scratching -- i dont even notice it ever. its only when you look deep within the couch and large scratches i do with my laptop or whatever they go away over time. i hope this helps!

The pillows are thicker soft napa leather than the base, but still thick enough that if i scratched as hard as I could, it wouldn't have broken the leather. However, if you cat scratches this couch you will notice it. In the video, I showed a video of a large scratch but it was due to transporting the couch. It didn't fully puncture it similar to a scratch when you fall and skin is broken. It does scratch easily with normal use. I have medium length natural nails and I scratch it by accident but eventually it fades. I hope this helps!

i really do love it! the bottom cushions really held their shape well. the back pillows need extra fluffing. I still nap on the couch! if scratches bother you dont get it. i dont even notice them anymore. the leather is soft! i hope this helps.
Hey! You would need two people to bring down the couch. This specific couch comes in TWO separate pieces. There is lock in place to connect to chaise lounge part. I would look at the measurements of chaise and width of it to see if it can fit into your basement. The entire box would most def not fit in your basement door. So I would pay extra for the movers to open the box and set it up for you.
Question: have you used any leather conditioner/cleaner yet? Love to see you show us this-and what steps you take to vacuum this. I received the Napa two weeks and love it. And taking a nap on this is an apotheosis of perfection. I find it very comfortable. That said: some may find it a littler firmer-or want that sink down deep feeling. I also am slightly worried that I got 100% full aniline. It truly does show every scratch and leaves very little room for error on possible staining. That said: it feels great and I love the cognac. Your review truly did convince me to purchase this.
I have not used any cleaner yet. I did get some pizza grease that one time that was discussed in the video. Water and baking soda did the trick. I’m glad you love the couch. It’s a firm but supportive for naps!! Mine is close to the windows so the afternoon light makes it perfect for naps (if needed). Mine scratch very easily. But I really don’t let it bother me. I scratch it all the time by accident. The scratches lessen over time and unless you stare at the couch you won’t really see it. When people see my couch they always love it! And find it very comfortable. I think it’s the great for leaning back and watching a movie.

@@aaronsegal5165 depends on how big it it. Mine was very small so I made a small paste of baking soda and water. I let it sit for 10 mins and wiped it off. It dried without any oil stains.
I have the Lyon couch and accompanying chair from Poly and Bark. I absolutely love them, but recommend putting at least one, if not two coats of leather conditioner. I recommend Otter Wax. I have two toddlers that live to jump and climb on the couch and this drastically decreases scratching.

Hang on to the boxes until you have checked the couch thoroughly. You will need them to return the couch if there are problems with the couch. I have returned one and had to keep the couch ready in the box for two weeks for them to pick up.

Hi! I can lay horizontally. I am 5 foot 1. Ive taken multiple naps on my couch. Always very comfortable! It’s 95.2 inches long (as per the website) About 7 feet and 11inches long.
I bought the 88.5" Napa sofa. First one showed up with holes in two sections, on the side and on the front. I decided to give it another chance. The second one I received looked used. I flipped the base/seat cushion and found a tear in the bottom section. I like the couch but I just don't want to keep a product with a defect. At to that the hassle of putting this back in the box and waiting for return pickup. Not a fun experience.

There is no distinctive gap I notice with the back pillows. The back pillow sometimes sag but I flip it upside down for a day and they are back to normal. I hope this helps.
Just wondering how the sofa is after 2 years, we love the color, just that a lot of negative reviews of cushioning is what makes me think of not going ahead. Let us know your experience of the sofa for 2 years
hey the cushioning is very firm. I still find myself napping on the couch still. If people are complaining about the cushion it may be the indents in the back pillows. I flip them to correct to prevent the indents (from normal use) and they look great after. I still love the couch!! i really still dont notice the scratches people complain about. people still compliment the couch and how firm it is. I hope this helps. I really love this couch. I obviously don’t have the article couch but I use this couch everyday. And haven’t had any issues. I’m not sure of the price differences etc. but make sure it’s affordable to you. Keep in mind it does scratch but I honestly don’t notice it. If you have a pet you might not want the couch. I don’t have one so that’s not an issue. Also I’m not sure how the article couch compares in terms to scratching. Overall it has kept its shape. I plan on doing a video soon on the couch. Thanks for the review. I am debating between this and ikea morabo sectional 4 seat golden brown. They both are of same size. I just keep wondering if the full grain leather for Napa is worth the 2x price over top grain for morabo. Napa is 3k after tax and morabo is 1.5k here in California. Any suggestions?
Hey! Have you seen the ikea morabo sectional in person? I have seen it in person and can tell the material of the couch is different. If you want a couch that looks likes a leather couch but isnt, the ikea couch is your pick. I wanted the look of a leather couch. The materials are different between both and you can tell which is real leather. The leather on this couch does scratch easily. It really depends on your budget and what you want. I hope this helps.
@@catrinaalexis Thanks for the follow-up. I went to see IKEA morabo in person, and can definitely tell the top grain leather doesn't feel great. It looks very polished and hence losing the real leather look. I canceled my IKEA order and bought napa instead. Should be delivered in 2 weeks. Excited :) Also, how is it holding up so far? I am worried about the cushions sagging after a few months of usage.

Hi I didn’t. It was in stock when I got it. They are getting more popular but I have seen it go in stock. I would just check periodically unless you need it now. I know article has something that looks exactly like it but a lot more expensive.
I dont know the width in inches of the box for that specific couch. It was so big I couldnt put the box through. Our door at that house was a standard front door size. I would message customer service or pay extra for them to bring the couch in and remove the box. The box was pretty heavy and difficult to get rid of. We have a large SUV, but if you dont have help to get rid of the box, I would pay extra.
I just vacuum the couch. Used baking soda and water to removed my first stain. Haven’t had another stain yet. I haven’t found a way to get rid of 5he scratches but I just embrace it. Before I bought it, I saw a review that it scratches easily especially with pets. I’ve expected it and it doesn’t bother me. I don’t even see the scratches anymore to be honest.
I advise putting a coat or two of Otterwax leather conditioner on your couch. It drastically reduced scratching and gives the couch a beautiful and even finish.
Wow! Yes it was $2500 in June 2020! The price is still less than ones I’ve seen on article and west elm. Wayfair has some but not a lot of reviews. Thanks for letting me know!
The real important information is not how it feels for one month. What you want to know is: type of leather, type of springs used for support, type of foam in the cushions, foam density number, construction used for the frame, and type of wood in the frame. That information reveals the quality and longevity of a couch.
Yes in one large huge box. I would pay extra for the delivery people to open the box and bring in your couch and they will get rid of the box for you. The box can fit in the your garage but not our front door. The delivery guys brought our couch/large box to our front door and brought in the couch for us (we didnt pay for that service, but they wanted to help). We had to get rid of the very large box. Luckily, my husband and I have a large SUV to throw away the BOX.
It’s gorgeous. I’m looking at the apartment size sofa. Is it comfortable/cushy enough to sleep on in place of a bed? Like if one has to choose between a bed or a sofa because of a tiny space.
i dont know how long the apartment size sofas are, but they are wide enough. If you take the back pillows out it feels big enough for one person to sleep on the couch. Make sure this couch and the couch you are looking at has similar widths. I take naps on this couch often. My husband also thinks it very comfortable to nap on.
They do have memorial sales, so if you do plan to buy from poly and bark try to hold off till then!

I still love it. My sectional hasn’t changed much. Still looks the same. I use it everyday. Almost had it for a year.

I bought the 88.5" Napa sofa. First one showed up with holes in two sections, on the side and on the front. I decided to give it another chance. The second one I received looked used. I flipped the base/seat cushion and found a tear in the bottom section. I like the couch but I just don't want to keep a product with a defect.
At to that the hassle of putting this back in the box and waiting for return pickup. Not a fun experience.
Sorry it happened twice!!! I hope you let them know and get your money back!!!! That’s unacceptable.
@@catrinaalexis Thanks - it's ok. My box was damaged, so I think they need shipping companies who are careful with these. Your more expensive $2800 couch showed up with a scratch. I think it was damaged in transit too. Please let us know how the couch is holding up. Thanks for the review.
Question: does your back pillows seem to have a gap that exist between them? Wondering if the back pillows are correct for this sofa.
There is no distinctive gap I notice with the back pillows. The back pillow sometimes sag but I flip it upside down for a day and they are back to normal. I hope this helps.

Just wondering how the sofa is after 2 years, we love the color, just that a lot of negative reviews of cushioning is what makes me think of not going ahead. Let us know your experience of the sofa for 2 years
hey the cushioning is very firm. I still find myself napping on the couch still. If people are complaining about the cushion it may be the indents in the back pillows. I flip them to correct to prevent the indents (from normal use) and they look great after.
I still love the couch!! i really still dont notice the scratches people complain about. people still compliment the couch and how firm it is. I hope this helps. Let me know if you have anymore questions.

I really love this couch. I obviously don’t have the article couch but I use this couch everyday. And haven’t had any issues. I’m not sure of the price differences etc. but make sure it’s affordable to you.
Keep in mind it does scratch but I honestly don’t notice it. If you have a pet you might not want the couch. I don’t have one so that’s not an issue. Also I’m not sure how the article couch compares in terms to scratching.
Overall it has kept its shape. I plan on doing a video soon on the couch. Let me know if you have specific questions.

4 seat golden brown. They both are of same size. I just keep wondering if the full grain leather for Napa is worth the 2x price over top grain for morabo. Napa is 3k after tax and morabo is 1.5k here in California. Any suggestions?
Hey! Have you seen the ikea morabo sectional in person? I have seen it in person and can tell the material of the couch is different. If you want a couch that looks likes a leather couch but isnt, the ikea couch is your pick. I wanted the look of a leather couch. The materials are different between both and you can tell which is real leather. The leather on this couch does scratch easily. It really depends on your budget and what you want. I hope this helps.
@@catrinaalexis Thanks for the follow-up. I went to see IKEA morabo in person, and can definitely tell the top grain leather doesn't feel great. It looks very polished and hence losing the real leather look. I canceled my IKEA order and bought napa instead. Should be delivered in 2 weeks. Excited :)
Also, how is it holding up so far? I am worried about the cushions sagging after a few months of usage.

Hi I didn’t. It was in stock when I got it. They are getting more popular but I have seen it go in stock. I would just check periodically unless you need it now. I know article has something that looks exactly like it but a lot more expensive.

I have a doorway width of 29-30" , will it fit through the door ?
I dont know the width in inches of the box for that specific couch. It was so big I couldnt put the box through. Our door at that house was a standard front door size. I would message customer service or pay extra for them to bring the couch in and remove the box. The box was pretty heavy and difficult to get rid of. We have a large SUV, but if you dont have help to get rid of the box, I would pay extra.
How do you clean/maintain your sofa? I had the cognac napa sofa and it scratches so easily! TIA
I just vacuum the couch. Used baking soda and water to removed my first stain. Haven’t had another stain yet. I haven’t found a way to get rid of 5he scratches but I just embrace it. Before I bought it, I saw a review that it scratches easily especially with pets. I’ve expected it and it doesn’t bother me. I don’t even see the scratches anymore to be honest.

I advise putting a coat or two of Otterwax leather conditioner on your couch. It drastically reduced scratching and gives the couch a beautiful and even finish.

The real important information is not how it feels for one month. What you want to know is: type of leather, type of springs used for support, type of foam in the cushions, foam density number, construction used for the frame, and type of wood in the frame. That information reveals the quality and longevity of a couch.

Did the couch come in one box?
Yes in one large huge box. I would pay extra for the delivery people to open the box and bring in your couch and they will get rid of the box for you. The box can fit in the your garage but not our front door. The delivery guys brought our couch/large box to our front door and brought in the couch for us (we didnt pay for that service, but they wanted to help). We had to get rid of the very large box. Luckily, my husband and I have a large SUV to throw away the BOX.

It’s gorgeous. I’m looking at the apartment size sofa. Is it comfortable/cushy enough to sleep on in place of a bed? Like if one has to choose between a bed or a sofa because of a tiny space.
i dont know how long the apartment size sofas are, but they are wide enough. If you take the back pillows out it feels big enough for one person to sleep on the couch. Make sure this couch and the couch you are looking at has similar widths.
I take naps on this couch often. My husband also thinks it very comfortable to nap on.
