- While en route to Sydney to attend the National Model Railroad Association event, my passion for trains led me to embark on a thrilling adventure of tracking and documenting trains along the renowned Main South railway line, which connects Melbourne and Sydney. I couldn't resist the allure of capturing the essence of this significant rail corridor.
In the hopes of sharing this remarkable experience with you, I've put together a video that offers a comprehensive insight into the diverse range of trains that grace this busy railway line on any given day. From the thunderous freight locomotives hauling goods across vast distances to the sleek and efficient passenger trains whisking travelers between these two iconic Australian cities, this video serves as a visual journey through the heart of Australia's rail network.
It's a testament to the rich tapestry of railway operations in Australia, showcasing the remarkable engineering, efficiency, and sheer scale of this vital transportation artery. Whether you're a fellow rail enthusiast or simply curious about the hustle and bustle of this significant railway corridor, I hope this video provides you with an engaging glimpse into the captivating world of trains on the Main South line.
Don't forget to leave a comment with some feedback and of course subscribe if you haven't already and I'll be back soon with more railway videos.
All opinions and statements and are my own.

Australian place names, so hard to pronounce them correctly. The Rock is easy to pronounce at least.
The branch line running from The Rock used to run to Oaklands where it met up.with the formerly Broad gauge line, now standard gauge. It now terminates at Boree Ck.
Great video plenty of variety and commentary 👍
Nice video Will. Some really good shots there. Especially the shot of the XPT at 16:09 going around the sweeping curve with the sun setting in the back round. - Nicholas.

The Rock is the most electrifying town in all of NSW
