OLAP combines and categorizes this data to deliver actionable insights for strategic planning.
Online analytical processing (OLAP) and online transaction processing (OLTP) are two distinct data processing systems that serve distinct functions. OLAP is designed to handle complicated data analysis and reporting, whereas OLTP is designed to handle transactional processing and real-time changes.
A database is a structured collection of information or data that is often stored electronically in a computer system. A database management system (DBMS) is typically used to administer a database.
