    It just goes bright or dark. its a tilt eq, not a side chain filter. hope that helps.

    • @daxhamma
      @daxhamma  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for pointing that out! I’ll admit I was a bit unsure in the video, and that’s why I phrased it the way I did. While the Tilt control isn’t technically a sidechain filter, it seems to act like one in how it shifts the emphasis of processing. For example, if you tilt towards the lows, there’s less processing happening on the lows, and on the output stage, you’re not actually getting a low-end boost-it’s more about dynamically balancing the spectrum. Appreciate the feedback and the chance to clarify!

    So to get more compression and clarity do I move the bell or shelves down or up?

      @@Bleitzofficial to get more of the effect, move the node down. Pushing it up seemed to result in less processing on that area

    What would it do for me that pro q 3 doesn’t

    • @daxhamma
      @daxhamma  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@ssserotonin1373 Pro-Q 3 is a powerful EQ, which I use on every mix, but IDX isn’t trying to be an EQ at all-it’s a spectral dynamics processor. It works adaptively in real-time to analyze your audio and intelligently balance frequencies and dynamics, which is something a traditional EQ, even with dynamic capabilities, doesn’t do. This wouldn’t replace your Pro Q 3, it can compliment it, or vice versa

      Of course he did, he is just promoting the plugin and posting affiliate links for sale. Always take all those music production youtubers with grain of salt... and remember, most of the new plugins nowadays are pure scam aka. you don't need them and / or you already have more than sufficient ones.

    • @daxhamma
      @daxhamma  หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @ I totally get where you’re coming from. Yeah, I use affiliate links, but I only talk about plugins I actually think are useful. The goal isn’t to push unnecessary stuff-it’s to share what works for me and why. Not every plugin is a must-have, and I always encourage people to figure out what they actually need before buying anything. I genuinely felt this plug-in did a great job at what is was designed to do. Appreciate the feedback though-it’s always good to hear different perspectives!

      @@daxhammaWe already have something called EQ and compression. People have been making stellar records just using those “basic” tools. All these modern tools are just a money making scheme promising to do magic without effort.

      @@Strepitethe man said it was for free. If someone doesn’t need it don’t buy it. Nobody is forcing you to buy anything. @daxhamma  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@nny9873 soothe 2 is dope!! I use it on every mix but it’s designed to suppress resonances. Of course, there’s other creative usages for it like sidechaning, but the IDX is designed to suppress energy that doesn’t help the track. Think of muddiness, boominess, Harshness, that arent necessarily resonance problems. Both are great but different in their intended purpose. Hope that helps!

    same like baby audio Smooth Operator :) just different GUI and less functions ...

    • @daxhamma
      @daxhamma  หลายเดือนก่อน

      I love Smooth Operator! it’s such a great tool for taming harshness and dialing in a clean tone. I think the main difference with IDX is that it handles everything adaptively, using its own intelligence to figure out where the issues are and adjust in real-time. With Smooth Operator, you’re more in control of placing nodes to find and fix problem areas yourself. Both are awesome tools, but IDX might save you some time if you want a more automatic solution. Appreciate the comment!
