It's simple and impactful. Truly an amazing product especially for people who don't understand compression. It's also very musical and can sound very smooth which makes me happy.
This is an awesome plugin indeed as it has made my two-track instrumentals “come alive” with greater clarity and control! I appreciate your insight given in this content and the encouraging words! Thanks 😊
Appreciate the intro homie, that was real. Also this plugin impressed me , the ease of use is the fun part but what sold me is that it genuinely sounds good for one and I’ll use it in my work from now on tbh. This being free is crazy lol
I was ready to not care, but I think I'll actually pick this up. Seems like it might speed up my workflow. Even if I don't end up using it in final mixes, it would be nice to have while recording.
Ok I’m back with another comment update…. I had A LOT of dialogue and podcasts I worked on since downloading this new plugin and I LOVE IT! Will do testing once I do some full song mixing as well but so far just on dialogue dealing with remote clients with good and bad mic “etiquette” has been a game changer. For how I’m wanting to use it I find out it’s a great way to even out the tonal balance of the microphone when dealing with people that don’t sit still and are always shifting. So now rather than having to be heavy handed on a normal compressor such as an 1176. I can smooth out the tone with this intelligent multi band Ish compressor first before running it into my typical 1176 style compressor. I can then keep the reduction much lower than normal at that point because I got rid of the aggressive peaks and spikes better ever changing throughout the frequency spectrum because of terrible sounding microphones or poor Mic placement. I have been turning on and off the plug-in many times and trying it in different. Insert locations just to see what I prefer and putting it first in the chain seems to be the best predicament for me with how I processed the rest of the chain. I gotta be honest I usually sign up for anything free because worst case scenario you could always just not use it or even keep it so to my utter surprise I have absolutely loved this plug-in and it will be a huge part of my workflow moving forward. 😊🙏🏼 Also, I wanted to mention that I was also wondering like many other people if this is some type of resident suppressor leaning towards what soothe 2 does but honestly, it is not. It is truly a compressor that is always able to adjust what reduction value to what I correlate to a multi band compressor. So what’s nice is I find it very helpful that if you do want to suppress resonance doing it after this plug-in after it’s tamed makes you have to use soothe 2 a lot less aggressively if you need that tool making it sound yet even smoother.
No. Most compressors are not intuitively reacting to each frequency band independently. A standard compressor reacts to the entire signal at once. It is more like a smart multiband compressor.
@ looks like you misinterpreted my comment somehow. All I was saying is that in the listening tests I’ve done with this, it creates a very specific sound.
Bless you, brother. Loved your encouraging words at the start. Great tutorial, informativ. I'm still waiting for an email for plugin, looks like it can be a good addition to mixing. Love the chorus of this track, I would love to hear the rest, when will it be released, if not already. 🙏👌🏽
Great video as always Sean. I would like to know the song used for this demo and if it's available for download. Going thru a lot right now and appreciate your kind words in the intro plus the song brought some sunshine. Thanks again.
where in the chain this should be typically placed? at the beginning to balance my unprocessed vocal or at the ending of my vocal chain to finish the already processed vocal?
Great authentic vibe here .. I love your personal approach.. I downloaded the plugin and copied the serial. I’m a bit confused because I have never used waves before. Can I activate this free plugin without a subscription? How does one start this journey? I’m so excited about this plugin, I can’t wait to try it.
love your work and the fact that you stand create for His Glory! been watching for years, truly grateful for your expertise & encouragement! keep creating Sean!
Thank you 4 the intro, it freaked me because i really needed to hear that, it's like you knew ! 😀 I love the song, i hope there's a link in the description,if not, you should definitely pu it there ! ❤️🤜🤛✌️
it is kinda malware, i tried and it erased the +200 waves plugins that i previously installed for free, and i had to do it all over again. the proper way to get it is just wait until this new plugin will be included at the sharing software places where we believe in the democratization of music.
Not sure why but when I click the link to direct me to the waves plugin it doesn't open. I noticed the same on other channels. It's like the links are all dead.
Good video. Waves lost a lot people with the subscription base. I bought 100 or more plugins but can’t use them because they tried to recharge me for the plugins to update them after 7 months of ownership. They offered another choice of subscription base but I paid good money with the thoughts of getting updates and the ability to use on my second computer. Not happening with waves. Hopefully they fixed that problem
It's pretty painless, and for the most part how all major plugin manufacturers do it. You download the installer, then download and activate the plugin. Are you using an old operating system?
I don't understand how this really functions any different from a multi-band compressor. This business of suppressing resonances wherever they show up doesn't make sense to me. I know you can dial it back and all that, and maybe this would become my ideal multi-band compressor, but I don't see the need for extra intelligence beyond what a compressor already does. These tools are actually dangerous, they can be easily overused. I love how a multi-band compressor can tighten and brighten up a stereo track. Maybe this is good for that. And again maybe I would prefer this plug-in, but I fail to see the need for it. It's like intelligent reverb, why do I need that? A couple of tweaks on a good reverb and I'm done. Same with a multi-band compressor.
Nice video but I'm looking to hear how this sounds on a hard rock track. All I can find, even on the Waves site is soft acoustic rock. Not that I don't write and record that. I'm just doing a lot of hard rock music right now.
sounds a lot like the free spectral compressor, which is also kinda open source, which leads to the question: are Waves just stealing from free/open source projects?
@ absolutely but with a tech development team in waves I doubt they’d need to copy code. It’s a shame however they’re always on the back foot and copying off others ideas instead of innovating first.
Sean Divine is a truly big name, but this example with drums does not work for cheap speakers (i watch the vid on 55 tv and drums without fx sound better)
Hi bro, appreciate your channel! What`s the pcychological talk all about, were there some hurricanes where you live, or are you sad that Kamalla didn`t win?
Came for the Waves plugin, stayed because of the intro. Great words brother🙏
What`s about? Sean struggling?
Romans 10:9-10
That’s a lovely way to open your video. Respect.
Thanks for that intro, man. I needed it ❤🎉
Me too, I'm really having tough times right now! 🤞🫶🙏
intelligent. thoughtful. caring. the man we didn't know we needed!
It's simple and impactful. Truly an amazing product especially for people who don't understand compression. It's also very musical and can sound very smooth which makes me happy.
That intro, what the heck! Very lovely and appreciated.
This is an awesome plugin indeed as it has made my two-track instrumentals “come alive” with greater clarity and control! I appreciate your insight given in this content and the encouraging words! Thanks 😊
Sean.... you're the real deal bro! Its always refreshing to see someone who truly has people's best interest in mind.
Love when you send the thoughts and prayers. Been watching for 8 years now!
Im still mad i watched your Waves Silk video a day too late last year 💀
As always love the message and I'm glad I grabbed this on time. It's the bright modern sound in an easy to use format. Blessed!!
Thanks! 🙏
This plugin is probably the best one from waves in years
Your intros are always the best. Thanks for sharing.
Appreciate the intro homie, that was real. Also this plugin impressed me , the ease of use is the fun part but what sold me is that it genuinely sounds good for one and I’ll use it in my work from now on tbh. This being free is crazy lol
Dang. Sean Divine already on the scene with the new plugin ! Nice. 👍🏻. That beat sounds great too !
I snatched this as soon as I saw the demo. Thanks for the kind words on your intro. Cheers 🍻 mate.

Thanks for you opening words. And ..... an excellent review! I just grabbed a free copy.
Very catchy song! And definitely sounded like a track after all processing
Hey Sean! That desk is amazing bro! is that the output desk? Studio looks so good!
Thanks! No, it's a custom by Soundesign - look him up on IG, he does great work.
Great video, keep this up!!! 🎉🎉
Sean! Dope Dope!
Great Video ! 🙏🏻
So basically like most compressor plug-ins, it has a specific sound to it, this one creates a kind of hi-fi sheen of a very specific flavor.
How does this compare with Soothe2 or Bloom? :D
Think its more like Spiff

Thanks brother. I'm thinking I'll drop the song early next year 🙏
@SeanDivine cool, looking forward to that. Bless you, bro. 👍🏽
Great video as always Sean. I would like to know the song used for this demo and if it's available for download. Going thru a lot right now and appreciate your kind words in the intro plus the song brought some sunshine. Thanks again.
I'm thinking I'll release it early next year 🙏 blessings, keep your head up
Big love Sean Divine 🫶🏽🔥🔥🔥
so... it's a multiband compressor?
Dope plugin.. dope song 🙏
Intro . Love you bro
thanks for the intro man.
where in the chain this should be typically placed? at the beginning to balance my unprocessed vocal or at the ending of my vocal chain to finish the already processed vocal?
There is no correct answer. Depends on your personal workflow.

Tell me man, what screen is this?
Go's bless you brother, and God continue to keep and protect you, stay blessed.

lets work!!!
Your speakers are so beautiful I can't even follow what you're saying 😔🙏
Right off the bat you can tell if a TH-cam sound producer is any good by the sound of the mic.
U wrong lol😂
@@africannoobgamer933 I Right.
This looks to be a great utily compressor plugin
It seems like Waves’ version of Gullfoss
That’s the only step Logic is left to provide in the next update definitely multiprocessor
❤

Dope
DVSM 3 is doing this since ages
🔥🙏❤️🔥
Great intro, but imma need you to say “I’m Sean Divine, hope you are doing fine”
So, what is the difference between IDX, Silk, and Curves Equator?
very good question. Seems they all do the same only with different UIs I guess.
❤❤❤
😊😊😊❤❤❤
Not sure why but when I click the link to direct me to the waves plugin it doesn't open. I noticed the same on other channels. It's like the links are all dead.

Amen🙏🙏🙏🙏
Pls is there anyone in this community that can help me with a laptop pls 🙏 I will really appreciate my laptop is faulty pls
Fr man, my pc has been givin issues, if I find a deal on smth good I’ll definitely send you the link aswell
Why does it sound like a low quality mp3?
installing this plugin is a pretty bad experience though, and i cant uninstall their ''Waves Central'' App
It's pretty painless, and for the most part how all major plugin manufacturers do it. You download the installer, then download and activate the plugin. Are you using an old operating system?
Hmm I thought they just dropped the Curves Equator for resonance suppression.. ?
interesting. I may have to see if I can get one

I don't know how I came across this video but I thought I'd mention your speakers are the wrong way around lol.
Nice video but I'm looking to hear how this sounds on a hard rock track. All I can find, even on the Waves site is soft acoustic rock. Not that I don't write and record that. I'm just doing a lot of hard rock music right now.
"This promotion has ended"
It's not a bad plugin. That's all I will say.
sounds a lot like the free spectral compressor, which is also kinda open source, which leads to the question: are Waves just stealing from free/open source projects?
Every company steals ideas from each other.
@@RobnDob ye but, if it is the case, copy pasting code from open source and selling it, well that's another story
@ absolutely but with a tech development team in waves I doubt they’d need to copy code. It’s a shame however they’re always on the back foot and copying off others ideas instead of innovating first.
Is this basically doing the same thing as silk vocal or equator
@ no it’s a self adjusting overall compressor.
Just a question, is the autogain button is here just to say hi or? Wtf is this 😆 there is not auto gain at all, the bypass is not usuable at all
Sean Divine is a truly big name, but this example with drums does not work for cheap speakers (i watch the vid on 55 tv and drums without fx sound better)
Hi bro, appreciate your channel! What`s the pcychological talk all about, were there some hurricanes where you live, or are you sad that Kamalla didn`t win?
So many Dynamic Resonance Suppressors this year!
Seems more of a infinite multiband compressor
Shill shill shill
Waves always top knotch
