That was a good video I didn't realize there were so many options now. There is also maps made easy. They let you process very small maps for free. With the images from a phantom 4 pro they allow 70. Depending on the size of the images that your drone makes that number will vary up or down. 70 is not many but it's enough to practice with.
When I used the Drone deploy trial I didn't notice in the fine print that there is a 10 map limit. When your experimenting with different things you can burn through 10 maps real fast.
With any of the time limited trials I would suggest to study up as much as possible ahead of time so that you don't waste your 2 weeks trying to learn how to use the interface.
Have several image sets that are very good quality and ready to go before you start. Make sure you have the right amount of images, correctly exposed and/or adjusted make sure the GPS data is in them and everything else so you can really take advantage of the two weeks to use the software rather than going out and reshooting things during that time.

What is the best entry level drone that I can buy for mapping? I’m looking to do traffic crash
Autel Evo Lite or Phantom 4 pro or Mavic 2 Pro. These allow flight planning using third party apps, while the Mavic 3/cine/classic don't have that option.
Software that I can buy? Every single one I have seen is server based and I don't want that. Dji terra is purchase any other?

Yes as long as you don't have the + model. The built-in tablet doesn't work well with many of the mapping applications.

I’ve only started creating 2D and 3D models and hope to do more precise mapping in the future when I can afford to build a more powerful computer for processing. But I’ve been a member of drone u for a while now. You won’t find Paul answering too many you tube comments, but i can tell you what he would say about the P4P... Its the best prosumer drone on the market for mapping.
@@jerseyshoredroneservices225 yeah, I learned that the hard way... I bought the plus model not knowing about that. But, instead of selling it and buying the non plus version, I was able to pick up a regular controller and make it work with my iPad. Luckily, I already owned an iPad...

Drone U is a pretty good resource for info. But, fyi, if you have a question, DO NOT bother putting it in the comment section. 99.9% chance they'll never reply.
Open Drone map isn't free it says you need to pay. Well that's disappointing.
