Trieste is an underrated city that is worth a visit. perhaps for those passing through Austria or the Dalmatian coast, etc. but also very favorable from a commercial point of view. I have inevitably read many comments of a "political" nature. like any border town it has a very troubled history. and the story begins from afar. For definition. from the time of the Roman Empire, specifically. and it was only in the twentieth century that the Austrian shillings were first used in the city, then the Italian lira, then the Yugoslav dinar was risked, then a few years of US dollars, then again the lire and finally the euro. not to mention the historic buildings of worship in the city, to underline the mixture that has always animated the city. personally they make me laugh a little bit some comments a little short-sighted, even if the most recent injuries are the ones that are remembered the most. In piazza Hortis fanno i mercatini settimanali ma sono molto piccoli. È a Natale che c'è tanto in fatto di mercatini,in piazza S.Antonio che arriva fino a Piazza Unità . Poi in viale XX Settembre a S Nicolò. Ma ovvio csusa covid a dicembre non è stato fatto. Poi c'è il Meecatino Europeo a maggio o settembre...ma anche quello causa covid non si è visto. Altri mercatini piccoli li fanno dietro il municipio vicino alla questura. Non mi ricordo i giorni però.
Io che sono di Trieste, non capisco come possa piacere così tanto ai turisti. Ne sono contenta, ma viverci non è così come sembra, per noi giovani ci sono pochi posti dove poter andare a divertirsi, facendo cose nuove. Please change back the title to "Neighboring to Slovenia". It is in fact true, we Slovenians live in this city too and we are linked to the surrounding territory (Karst and Istria) which are part in Italy and part in Slovenia.
Infatti UK USA e Australia sono realtà autoctone a Trieste...Non sapete dove aggrapparvi non considerando poi che la crisi del porto di Trieste è stata proprio causata dagli angloamericani che per premiare Tito per lo strappo con Stalin concessero la zona b alla jugoslavia che poi costruì il porto di Capodistria.
Che dire? Forse era meglio per voi restare austriaci e magari beccarvi, alla fine della guerra pure Tito , la Yugoslavia e 70 anni di comunismo. Sicuramente sotto i serbi sareste stati meglio e noi italiani avremmo risparmiato un sacco di soldi.Auguri, siete sempre in tempo, la Croazia è al confine , la Slovenia pure ed anche la Serbia.

That's right, architecture is easily recognizable. Trieste was Austrian for centuries, and hard redesigned by Mary Therese. It was very important, being the major harbour. That's a pity that no images of Miramar Castle are in the video.
