I have listened to every operatic soprano who sings Strauss on U tube. Many I prefer the timbre of their voices over others, but as much as I loved the music of this period, they are wonderful in their singing.
She was taught in a Germanic style ..I can't remember the name ...the breathing is everything I was taught by Professor Eliss Keillor of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama... I think I can replicate the style!!
The Four Last Songs is one of my favorite of all of Strauss' works. This is a marvelous recording.
