Thank you! Thank you very much good Sir and TH-cam for directing me to your video! With the help of your method I saved my expensive SSD which shockingly had bad sectors in the first 3 blocks. I am very grateful to you :)

1:37 - NEVER rely on Error scan with "Quick scan" tick on! Each single bad block detectable in "Quick scan" mode could be easily accompanied by a few undetectable ones, worst of all - be located in different parts of the drive. This is a significant flaw in your manual which could easily turn out to be fatal (meaning that plenty of bad blocks could be still there, within "normal" partitions you are about to create).
Hello brother, I did a full (non-quick as you said) "error map" (not speed map) scan with hd tune pro v6 and in the first 524GB blocks of my 2TB HDD was less than 75 damaged blocks (to tell you exactly how much it was 4.4% damaged blocks according to HD Tune Pro's test results) is there any good application to find bad sectors and create partitions with good sectors and unallocate bad sector partitions automatically???

While this technique will certainly avoid the known bad sectors, having that many bad sectors is usually a sign of a failing drive with many more bad sectors to follow. The first choice would be to send the drive in for replacement if it is under warranty. If not, before going through this effort, it would be best to use other tools to determine how many marginal sectors there are, where they are, and rather the drive should be retired. Marginal sectors are ones that are still technically "good", but are slower than normal. There are various tools for this, two I've used are HDDScan and Victoria. These can scan the entire disk and will identify how many sectors of the drive are "slow" to access, how slow they are, and where they are. Most simple drive scanners only produce a "Good/Bad" result which isn't sufficient to know get the full picture of the overall health. A couple of bad sectors that are not increasing in number would be better handled through remapping them to the spare area by re-writing the entire drive, looking at the s.m.a.r.t. data before and after to see what ended up happening. If during the process no additional bad sectors were identified, then go ahead and use it (for non critical data), otherwise time to replace. In any case, any drive with that many bad sectors, rather remapped or handled by isolation as shown in the video, has a much higher likelihood of failure. If it is under warranty, just send it in for replacement, otherwise use if only for non-critical data that you can lose or have backed up somewhere else.
@@subhashischowdhury6171 You have to figure out where all the bad sectors are using a scanning tool then isolate them. The method in the video will find some (maybe all) of them, but there are better tools. So the method shown should be thought of as a temporary fix (and may not be worth the effort). If one is seeing bad sectors starting, the best course of action is to replace the drive. It can start slow then snowball, you'll see one bad sector, then a couple weeks later you see another, then in a couple more weeks, 2 or 3 more, the following week you get 10 more, etc. Bad sectors are a canary in the coal mine for HDDs.

This is complete bullshit. You have exactly 18 blocks of 61Mb that are bad. That's just over 1GB. You can not remove bad sectors this way, and you need to have a full scan to avoid missing. What if they are in a large range? For 5-6 damaged blocks, you will lose, for example, 500GB usable sectors? Or will you break the disk into dozens of titles? To eliminate need to format the low level. It is, for example, necessary to mark the track with damaged sectors as being larger than the real one, and some other runway preferably the most extreme being marked as the same number as the one with the fault. Or the disk is formatted, but at Dos and FAT32 to mark the damaged ones. Windows formatted the discs quickly and jumped over the defective parts. A real check for failures and their removal does not happen for a minute, as is the case with Windows. This operation is especially long for large disks.

My hard disk makes my PC freeze and even though it's my second drive I am using an SSD as my boot drive when I remove the HDD no problem it's works fine when I insert it it's too slow
I wonder how would you 100% sure that the bad sectors are not part of the 2 partition (NTFS) that you have created? and as like all the bad sectors are in the unallocated drive
this tips doesn't hide bad sectors in the internal SMART counter of your hard drive. any SMART monitor program like HDD Sentinel can give you the real health of the hard drive like running time, bad sectors, number of read/write errors, seeks access or the max working temperature recorded during the HDD lifetime. your tips just reallocate damaged cluster to the free space area to preserve its read/write speed performances. this errors means you have to backup datas from your HDD because its health is decreasing. but you can use it anymore as casual disk space. just remember your hard drive is dying now and you can loss the content at any time.

Not much, you can try 3rd party tools to keep attempting to read the bad areas and remap them, but that often will just create more bad sectors and damage. If the data is important, you need to send it to a data recovery service (at a high cost) asap. This video is rather misleading in that it does discuss the fact that if one is seeing bad sectors, the drive is failing and needs to be replaced. What is described is only going to be a temporary fix in most cases.

Timothy Durgan when you feel that its process is going slow down, takes more time while playing any video. It normally goes slow. Then you can check your HDD with hdtune software regarding bad sectors...
1.This is not repair. This is sparing out the bad sectors by repartitioning. 2.A quick Scan dosent detect all bad sectors. Sometimes it says all sectors are Green but they are bad. You need to do the slow scan wich takes a day or two. 3.You can find out more precisely your bad sector area with the Victoria software without counting block or doing maths.

You can't actually fix bad sectors. Once a sector is bad, they're bad forever. This video covers a work-around for unallocating the space that has bad sectors so it's not even seen by the computer, but it does not actually fix them. They're just in unallocated space, so they're not used for data storage. However, I always recommend to my customers to replace a hard drive with bad sectors. If this was my system and such a small drive, I wouldn't even bother with it. I'd just replace the drive, backup the data to the new drive and discard or recycle the old drive. Once you start get bad sectors, you will get more bad sectors. The method described here will give the drive more life, but eventually the new partitions will also begin to get bad sectors. You may buy yourself a year or two of usage, but with drive costs being so cheap these days, it's not even worth it anymore. In the case of a laptop my own recommendation would be to replace the drive, but I would also pick up a USB drive and back up any important data to the USB drive prior to replacing and reloading the OS so you will retain any important data.

sir i have done your process. but all are green and last one block is grey color . in warning , 8 bad sectors are exists. hence, i can't find the portion for partitioning. but i have formatted the hard disk. finally while installing OS , it says that windows can't install in these partition.
i have done same you have shown but still am getting the same Cyclic redency Ccheck error nor able initialize. so not showing in explore nor disk managment
Victoria 5.28 free software is in Russian but you can still download and use for other languages. This is the best free software that still runs in Windows. Other software like spinrite will only run in DOS which only supports MBR partitions up to 2 TB so you couldn't scan large data drives with movies, torrents, games, etc.
Hi
Am using hdd 500gb in CCTV system , if I do like this...(partions). After inserting in dvr then it asks formating for that wt can i do.
Hi Bro..I’m having this bad sector issue with my C drive which consists of the OS. How to fix it? Can you share some idea?
how about if my hardrive is not showing.how can i fix it to show? thank u
Sir even if we hide or disable the bad sectors and the drive keeps reallocating the sectors which are damaged, either soft bad sectors or physical(hard) bad sectors, So the imminent failure remains a question. I've tried the method that you have told in this video but it still indicates an imminent failure predicted on the startup of the computer.
is there only one way left to discard my damaged HDD and replace it with a new one?
what if you have work in it? do you have a way to doi without erasing anything?
i have the OS corrupted hard disk due to bad sectors.now i cant access my windows and i have ubuntu on another hard disk at my desktop. at this situation what i can do and how to clear these bad sectors.help me please....
kindly format windows partition of the corrupted hard drive with windows 98 or XP and make sure to low level format (do not go for quick format). It may help you and after installation of O.S. you can proceed to ::::
Please Right click on the desired drive. Click properties. Click on tools tab.Click on check now.Select both the options of check now. Then click on start. Follow these steps for each partition. This operating system tool will check your disk partitions and repair automatically.

hey,
I have problem. Looks like my system.dll file is corrupted. when I try to boot windows(vista) even in safe mode HDD just clicks (one click repeated 3times) and then I can see this message: "system.dll file is corrupted or missing" and error 0xc00000e9. I tryed check disk, HDD regenerator and even windows repair tru USB with OS, which caused bluescreen of dead with error 0x00000D1. will formatting of HDD and installing OS again work? Thank you for the answer
MrReptay kindly watch and try my latest video th-cam.com/video/PA6CUcWkhcE/w-d-xo.html before installing o.s.
Hey, ty for quick respond. It looks I solved it. Somehow I was able to remove system.dll using other pc(before it was impossible - I get meesage that hdd is not plugged in, when I tryed to move it). Then I just plugged USB with OS and started repairing OS, I was kinda scared, because HDD were making the click sound I was talking about, but after restart OS booted as usual, so I hope it will stay like this. I think I was super unlucky, coz only 8 kb of my 500gb hdd are corrupted. Anyways ty for the answer and have a good day

Sorry....
Ok tell me this that which hard in infected of bad sector and have to install Windows in this hard.what to do
Never mind
Hello sir, provide me a solution , my pc was running smooth and suddenly it slowed down and became non responsive. So i turned off the power button and while turning on, it showed the hard drive error.

My external 1TB toshiba hd has like over 70000 bad sectors :(
My hard disk makes my PC freeze and even though it's my second drive I am using an SSD as my boot drive when I remove the HDD no problem it's works fine when I insert it it's too slow
I wonder how would you 100% sure that the bad sectors are not part of the 2 partition (NTFS) that you have created? and as like all the bad sectors are in the unallocated drive
Kindly watch my video once again, with full concentration. Thanks
Why you didn't merge drive G: and I:? Is it possible to merge it?
Absolutely no
thank you it was helpful il give you a like .
this tips doesn't hide bad sectors in the internal SMART counter of your hard drive. any SMART monitor program like HDD Sentinel can give you the real health of the hard drive like running time, bad sectors, number of read/write errors, seeks access or the max working temperature recorded during the HDD lifetime. your tips just reallocate damaged cluster to the free space area to preserve its read/write speed performances. this errors means you have to backup datas from your HDD because its health is decreasing. but you can use it anymore as casual disk space. just remember your hard drive is dying now and you can loss the content at any time.
Hi i have a 500gb hard disk in my laptop and there were bad sectors in one of my partions named local disk D and i right clicked on it and in properties i clicked the check now and ticked the attempt the bad sectors after sometime of scanning my laptop gets hanged and it was showing the blue screen that there is a hardware crash so please help me with the solution
Cause of Blue Screen occurs due to problems in either HDD or RAM. Please take backup of your D drive to somewhere else and then format it at normal (Do not go for quick format ) .Thanks

Hello Sir,
I have trouble with my Toshiba 1 TB USB 3.0 external HDD.
The issue is that it gets detected by my windows machine but I am not able to open drive data or explore it. As per my knowledge approx. 500 GB of data is there.
I just want to ask one question before trying out your suggested method.
Will it delete the data from my external drive if I do My Computer > Manage > Disk Management > Right Click on Trouble Drive Letter > Delete Volume ???
kindly use any software tool to backup your data folder wise like NORTON GHOST or Paragon HDD Manager.
After taking backup you can do the above mentioned procedure.. Thanks.
so the damage part is in the hard drive... you didn't fix it?? its not fixing its hiding

Sir.. i cant copy my PST files from hard disk cause of bed sector what can i do?
Not much, you can try 3rd party tools to keep attempting to read the bad areas and remap them, but that often will just create more bad sectors and damage. If the data is important, you need to send it to a data recovery service (at a high cost) asap. This video is rather misleading in that it does discuss the fact that if one is seeing bad sectors, the drive is failing and needs to be replaced. What is described is only going to be a temporary fix in most cases.
sir whenever I try to create a new partition. in my segate 250 GB every time the problem comes failed due to I/O ERROR SO what to do

What to do when the computer has a bad status? Please tell me by steps I have no idea how.
Timothy Durgan when you feel that its process is going slow down, takes more time while playing any video. It normally goes slow. Then you can check your HDD with hdtune software regarding bad sectors...
try Victoria software first, It might be easier, that is... if you still have that hd
Can I recover data hdd with crc error
Just use vivard and remap the bad sectors.
sir what if the bad sectors is located on the c drive where my windows is installed???
kindly give software download
Please share HD Tune Pro Software
1.This is not repair. This is sparing out the bad sectors by repartitioning. 2.A quick Scan dosent detect all bad sectors. Sometimes it says all sectors are Green but they are bad. You need to do the slow scan wich takes a day or two. 3.You can find out more precisely your bad sector area with the Victoria software without counting block or doing maths.
What if I have red blocks in the second row and another parts of red blocks in the middle rows of the screen?
The red blocks keep on changing positions after I repeatedly scan them
I want to ask that I have only one hard which is in laptop and this hard having bad sector how to fix bad sector from this hard and how to install Windows in this hard after removing bad sector from this hard

In the case of a laptop my own recommendation would be to replace the drive, but I would also pick up a USB drive and back up any important data to the USB drive prior to replacing and reloading the OS so you will retain any important data.
kya isse karne se data delet ho jaata hai
No, not at all.
