They say the new bldg is the Cathode Plant, but the steel beams for that were arriving later last year and are sitting there in piles. First they need to start putting in Geopiers if needed and digging for the footings. They have to move the steel to do that.
That's why I needed the site plan in the picture (video) I got it and can only make out two logical locations. No, building 2 definitely does not come directly next to building 1.
I'm glad to see they're finally getting the last windows put in so the bldg is weatherproof. Even so, wecan see that they're making model Y bodies by the scrap steel stampings in the bins. Thanks, Brad.
@@DessieDoolan Doesn't sound very efficient... Charging a really big battery, than using that battery to charge other batteries. Considering the energy losses in each step of the process. Why not just use a generator to power the supercharger?
@@DavidJohnson-tv2nn Because, duh, it would be ugly PR when you are trying to say "clean energy". People would be pretty pissed off to have some diesel generator to come to their rescue. Anyway, I'd be surprised if battery-to-battery conversion loss is worse than using diesel in the first place. (compared to say, combined-cycle gas generation.)

How thick do u think that concrete slab is, the new ones they are pouring?
Appears to be 10 - 12 inches.
30 to 40 centimeters from some comments I've read. It has to be thick due to the heavy traffic of heavy transportation vehicles.
