Be thankful this car even exists, coupes are in short supply, little hatchbacks like the Mini are going that way too, everything is being pushed towards electric and most new vehicles coming out are 4x4s.

Not sure why you would say that FWD makes it useless as a quick car on the normal roads. Being FWD by any manufacturer will be no slower than a comparable RWD car on the road and some are down right fast on the track. It will all depend on how the manufacturer sets up the suspension and how well it is driven. As for MINIs, the JCW versions of R53, R56 and F56 are all very quick road cars and, with the optional JCW Sports suspensions (JCW Pro suspension for the F56), are extremely competent track cars. They do pretty well on the track with their base JCW suspensions, too. Don’t know about this current iteration of the JCW and how MINI plans to set it up, but I do know it won’t be limited by it being FWD.
Got the new cooper s it’s awful Awful seats that move ever time you get in it Stupid controls on the screen that are hard to use and find No exhaust sound or even a pipe on show Avoid !
I’ve got the latest cooper c sport, excellent car JCW styling but much less overall costs! Fab motor, drives v well. Control quite a lot through voice commands tbh. Heads up display is v good m tech is awesome on it💪 my pack is level 2, manual seats don’t move once I’ve set them?!?

What a lovely looking car, Minis are brill
MF: The Petrol powered JCW isn't dead
Me: Can I get a manual transmission?
MINI: No
Me: It's dead.
We don't disagree.

I live in America and on the mini Cooper USA website there is no mini Cooper two-door JCW for 2025 anywhere in the 2025 menu.
The website has yet to be update. However you can follow MotoringFile.com for much more up to date information.
GP is coming?
Doesn’t look bad as a jcw! I’d be all over either one if there was a manual 😢
That isn’t the new jcw cooper in video, spoiler is bigger
no this is it. the rear has the 1 pipe. I think they squashed the spoiler sadly
@@rodocs9008 wow, it’s changed from August in uk then , I like that it has a smaller spoiler than one on electric jcw
You may want to tell MINI that since they supplied the footage and have called this the new JCW.
Wtf with front brake calipers?
MINI says they're carried over from the previous Cooper JCW.
@@MotoringFile according to video it looks like they're from Cooper S, basic single piston calipers like on the rear, just bigger
@@MotoringFile Brakes are obviously downgraded comparing to F56 JCW.
Yes… we noticed this awhile back and are waiting for MINI to clarify with data.
Front wheel drive means it'll be useless as a quick car on normal roads.
As a track car it's also not going to be as quick as a track car.
For your average driver, fwd is quicker on normal roads.
It’s not a track car, it’s a road car.
