Will India Be the Next China?| An Indian's Take | OVERLAP

  • It has been going on for many years now and there are always voices saying that India will be the next China. This voice is especially numerous when the total size of India's population has surpassed that of China to become the most populous country in the world, and when India continues to export its elites and scholars to the world. And it even affects China-India relations to some extent. What are the reasons supporting this view? How do Indians and Chinese view this argument? How do they view each other's countries and the bilateral relations? In this episode of Overlap, we invited Mr. Jayant Bhandari, a senior commentator from India, and Zephyr, a leading current affairs commentator from China, to discuss all the topics above!#India #China #India-ChinaRelations #Overlap #WaveMedia

India 2023 GDP is similar to China 2007 GDP but....one is in DEFICIT the other was in SURPLUS.
    *India 2023:*
    GDP: $3.9 trillion (est)
    Exports: $772 billion (est)
    Imports: $832 billion (est)
    Trade Deficit: $100 - 200 billion (est)
    Forex Reserves: $615 billion
    Literacy Rate = 69%
    *China 2007:*
    GDP: $3.43 trillion
    Exports: $1.22 trillion
    Imports: $956 billion
    Trade Surplus: $264 billion
    Forex Reserves $1.33 trillion
    Literacy Rate = 95%
Today despite similar population number at 1.4b, India only have 672m workforce vs 931m for China. 48% Indian worked to support the others 52% unproductive population vs 66% Chinese worked to support the others 34% unproductive population.
    *India:*
    Population 1.4b
Male 700m = 73% labor force participation rate
Female 700m = 23% labor force participation rate (On par with Somalia, Pakistan, Palestine)
    Total workforce = 511+ 161 = 672m
    Literacy Rate = 69%
    *Educated workforce = 463m*
Arable land = 154 million hectares
Grain production = 330 million tons
Grain Reserve = 57.9 million tons
    *China:*
    Population 1.4b
    Male 700m = 72 % labor force participation rate
Female 700m = 61% labor force participation rate (On par with Canada, Netherlands, Israel)
    Total workforce = 504 + 427 = 931m
    Literacy Rate = 97%
    *Educated workforce = 903m*
Arable land = 127 million hectares
Grain production = 686 million tons
Grain Reserve = >700 million tons
Comparing *India to China* is akin to comparing *Pakistan to Japan* , *Bangladesh/Nepal to South Korea* , *Sri Lanka to Taiwan* . One group is influenced by Chinese civilization, the others group is influenced by Indian civilization. Two different class. One is Yellow the others is Brown/Dark. One uses chopsticks, the others uses bare hand. The most developed country in ASEAN is Singapore, a nation populated by predominantly Chinese an East Asian origin people.
One group collectively & consistently ranked within the world top 10-20 in IQ Test, PISA Score, University Rank, International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) & Mathematical Olympiad, standing shoulder to shoulder with western world ....while the others group collectively & consistently ranked somewhere in the middle out of 100+ participant nation standing shoulder to shoulder with some failed states & banana republic.
Comparing South Asia with East Asia is like comparing Africa with Europe. No developed countries exist outside of Western & East Asian world.

Yes Jayant Bhandari, an Indian Financial analyst doesn't bullshit about India. Indians got no moral compass. Just grab and enjoy for the moment, without a thought for the consequences tomorrow. Police stations are rape and bribe centers in India. Only in japan, Taiwan and China are places where he is never scare of the police. He was shocked that women can ventured out alone onto the streets at night. Democracy is the worst form of government because it puts idiots in charge. In the west, out of 100 , 2 will help you when you are in a difficult position, In India, out of 10,000, all will leave you to die on your own. There was shame in bribe, but nowadays it is the norm for all politicians and government employees. Only country worse than India is Congo. Indians are feral beings-only wants material and sex. Indians treated other Indians so badly, that the population welcome the Mughal Muslim rulers. He travelled over 100 countries, studying the inhabitants and way of life by staying out of hotel and live like the natives , all to better advise his clients about international investments. But he is not completely right in his observation. But India? A complete hopeless case, just take the bribe.

This one word is enough to describe the Dream of Every Hindu.
If you don’t know about Akhand Bharat, then let me explain it to you.
This is How Akhand Bharat looks like
Akhand Bharat isn’t a Good Idea at this Point. But at what point?
      Problems Before Making Akhand Bharat:
India has to deal with 2 Nuclear Powers namely China and Pakistan. and it seems to be the worst idea to go for a full-fledge war with these 2 countries.
It also depends on whether the people from the countries that I have mentioned above even want to join with India or Not. Because if they don’t want to join with us then there will be some major Civil Wars that will happen across these Countries and groups of People.
Getting International Recognition will be hard because many people throughout the world will not accept this and this may even harm the image of India on the International Stage.
If India somehow succeeds in making Akhand Bharat then there are a lot of Chances that some fringe elements will again try to Separate our Country.

This one word is enough to describe the Dream of Every Hindu.
If you don’t know about Akhand Bharat, then let me explain it to you.
This is How Akhand Bharat looks like -'CHECK MAP'

A full thesis would be too long, but there are generally many factors why India keeps falling behind China, even though it is supposed to have the benefit of 'democracy' since independence.
To begin with, spiritually(this is often not discussed), the inability of India to eliminate historical social inequality, and caste, over millenias creates Karmical Debt preventing blessings. Comparatively, China has rid itself of feudal yoke, thanks to Mao Zedong. Without institutiuonal equality, free-market capitalism becomes exploitative.
Culturally, the absence of 'Confucian ethics' system, which can be deemed non-democratic, can explain the economic miracles of the 4 Asian Tigers, as well as China. To be a top tier power, or for India to be the next China, it has to first be a manufacturing powerhouse, which will be difficult given it's difference in 'having discipline'.
In a more layman observation, generally, very good Talkers are rarely good 'Do-ers', for if you can talk yourself away, there is no real need to have actual performance. On the other hand, many exceptional 'Do-ers', find it hard to explain to the crowd. At the macro level, we can see very obviously that one culture is a Talker, while the other can be categorized more as a 'Do-er'.

Fact is, India’s increased momentum in Trade as of recent Is primarily due to the West having switched their Trade imports from China to India. The Collective West tend to play these games as they did so with Japan in their Rise and Fall, in the Tech Industry. Once a nation is seen as an Economic giant, the West tend to see it as a threat and begin the process of decline so the country has to focus on rising unemployment, rather than redirecting the Exports to keep the Manufacturing. Currently in China, the Train has left the Docks, and BiG Ship has left the Station. Trains that Cruise and Ships that Ride, and now US have been in a State of Panic for many Years in trying to stop China but it’s too late. While US were implementing their PLan, China carefully bolstered up ties globally including their own National Securtiy. When the US sees issues within as their plan is in full flow, usually the Civilians take it out on the Government and US snake their way in to cause further disruption, let alone pushing false narratives about their neighbouring country that’s thriving on new Trade deals with the West generating hatred within the nation that’s on a down turn. The Chinese people being disciplined remained poised and the Trade redirected to other regions of the planet to sustain growth.
India has to prep to avoid the same rhetorics of the West and not to become too dependent on the Good Times, put a little away for a rainy day should US suddenly play the Games of Yester-years.

"Currently in China, the Train has left the Docks, and BiG Ship has left the Station. Trains that Cruise and Ships that Ride, and now US have been in a State of Panic for many Years in trying to stop China but it’s too late. " - Not really. Almost every country in the world made a transition from a centralized dictatorship to a democracy when their growth rates slowed down. The shock of slow growth after having experienced 10%+ growth for years isn't easy to handle politically. Brittle systems with no flexibility break in such scenarios, especially when there is external pressure. China has over-capacity in everything. Those things have to be shutdown as more manufacturing shifts to other countries. The question is will Chinese system able to handle that pressure or will it break ? .. Unlike democratic systems where the political parties and the people in power change, the bureaucracy, military, govt's at local levels and courts keep functioning. That's not the case in China. If CCP goes it takes down the bureaucracy and PLA with it. In Opaque systems no one really knows until the last moment.
Until then the Chinese can keep listening to bought and paid morons like Jayant Bhadari and be happy comparing the present day India and China without comprehending the simple argument that when the west talks about India it talks in future tense and hence stupid questions like "What do you see around you that is made in India?" doesn't apply.

Using the Neighbouring puppet regimes to take down the, “So Called Enemy”. Yet it’s no Enemy to the Neighbours, but more that to the Outsider that’s trying to keep the Region Divided & Conquered. I believe the Chinese were aware of such fragility, so bolstered up for a rough ride.
Its No small wonder why those that seek to snake their way in to cause disruption at the earliest opportunity.
Japan was ruled after WWll having lost and had to obey the Master -Rise to payback the War Cost and accept Time to FaLL, and the US initiated this.

The quality of the people is extremely low. Deng Xiaoping got off the plane and was immediately shocked by Lee Kuan Yew's Singapore. Especially since this country even has to buy drinking water from Malaysia.
Second, Deng Xiaoping was having dinner with Lee Kuan Yew. Lee Kuan Yew bluntly stated that if China wants to develop, it must say goodbye to fundamentalist Leninism and must stop exporting revolution to Southeast Asia. Mr. Deng Xiaoping was silent at first, and then asked Lee Kuan Yew, "What do you need me to do?"
What kind of mind and magnanimity is this?
Third, Deng Xiaoping returned to China to attend the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee and decisively launched a bloodless coup to overthrow the rule of Leninist Hua Guofeng. Make China fully return to Confucian collectivism and gradually restore the commodity economy.
Third, Shenzhen’s industrial park system is completely copied from Singapore’s Jurong Industrial Park. Even Chinese TV dramas express this point outright. "Deng Xiaoping at the Turn of History"
Fourth, in 1989, Western liberals and Leninists joined forces to create riots. Deng Xiaoping couldn't bear it and suppressed it decisively. Based on its admiration for Western liberalism, even Pakistan does not dare to express support for China. Only Confucian collectivist Lee Kuan Yew in the world has explicitly expressed support for China in suppressing this riot. This incident ensured that Confucian collectivists would continue to be in power in China and that China's urbanization and industrialization movement would continue to advance. This is how the glorious China is today.
It can be said that Mr. Lee Kuan Yew's modern Confucian collectivism and pragmatism spirit as well as his zero-tolerance attitude towards crime have influenced the governance of too many Confucian economies and even influenced Kagame in Rwanda. And Rwanda is now considered the most successful country in Africa.

At long last we see somebody of Indian origin who is not afraid to call a spade a spade! Jayant Bandari is not bias! This guy speaks of what is really happening on the world economic and geopolitical arena in today global economic turmoil, with India trying to catch up with China which is years ahead in every sphere of development. He makes a true and vivid diagnosis of the present economic perspective and the real situation facing India to the effect that his native country will never become the next China! This 30 minutes interview is a food for thought that must be seen by one and all. His economic analysis is totally opposite to what Indian Prime minister, Narendra Modi, has been saying day in day out: that India is the next superpower of the world that will overtake China in less than a decade! When you take note of Modi's repetitive bullshit narrative and that of his bootlicker journalist of Vantage, Palki Sharma, and other Indian propaganda media, we cannot help asking ourselves whether the Indian illiterate masses are not being taken for a long ride since Modi comes to power a decade ago. Bandari underlines that between the government and weak infrastructure of India, most companies that want to move operations to India, end up not doing so because of rampant corruption at all level of the Indian society and the sluggishness of the Indian bureaucracy taking weeks to process a simple development certificate submitted by overseas companies!( Roland Tsang kwai kew 10.10.23)

India exporting talents worldwide means only that the inequalities in their country forced these scholars to work abroad where they could have a chance to become significant. They could grab onto fame and fortune offered by Western liberalism either thanks to being born with a silver spoon or sacrificial funding for their education from family and friends. Talented people exist all around the world, but will only strive if offered good education. Now that's not to say that the education system in their country failed them! It might well be the opposite... It's the lack of job opportunities in their own country after graduating there. Post graduate schools will often lacks essential investments in hi-tech or medical fields found in wealthy countries like the US-UK, Germany, China, France...even though India is doing well in Software Engineering and Pharmacology as resources needed there is not unaccessible... For a country to economically strive as a whole, its middle class must strive. The scholars must be serving their country instead of selling their intellect abroad. If that's the case with India, then there is hope. If not India economy will remain stagnant until then.

Throughout world history, no country's strength has been accomplished and sustained solely by external forces. China's reconstruction was based on external siege and its own strength. India, on the contrary, has always been the favorite of the international community, from the Nehru era and many socialist countries close relations, to the post-Soviet period, boasts of "the world's largest democracy", so that India completely lost a strong endogenous momentum. Under these circumstances, it is basically impossible for India to become China 2.0. The Indian government seems to be very eager to earn enough respect in terms of the strength of its international reputation, but it has forgotten the most important point, which is also the most important need of the Indian people, that is, India should develop itself to meet the needs of its people, instead of pointing fingers all over the world.
