I run 93 Octane with Marvel's Mystery Oil. Also I have a BGE with a letter F as the last letter in the spec. It has a Nikki carb. The idle screw is one turn out and the mixture screws is one turn out. It runs great. I DID replace the main board. David
I know this video is over a year old and I'm not sure where you're at with this, but surging is lack of fuel. Clean carburetor and if you can't adjust the jets you can spin a needle drill bit in the jet by hand. A thin film will make a difference... So get some super thin drill bits..
wished you were near georgia i have a onan generator that has 212 hrs on it runs perfect i would give you that i do not need came from a totalled motorhome i parted out .......
If i was a little more prepared i might actually do a roadtrip to Georgia just to get this geny problem solved once and for all!! That's kind of you to offer tho thanks :)
I'm in northern Florida disabled living in my class c with 3 son's. Someone took mine while stored. Now I am homeless and moved in RV full time since August 2018. If you are willing to let go cheap I'm definitely Interested in it.
Yeah I never had any luck with the carb rebuild kits.. I always just buy a new carb and that takes care of the problem if you buy one always try to run the unit at least every week it keep the gas from going bad.. on your water/rain issue make sure the gutters are always cleaned and install gutter spouts at the ends that way you can decertify the water away from your motorhome..
That's was ive read, i'll just get a new carb.. Or try soaking it as someone is now suggesting idk ill see how much that stuff costs. And great tips for diverting the water thanks!
Yup... New carb. I have to do the same thing. So much money. So small of a carb. I feel ya. I tried the 4-C spray from Onan. Nope...did not work. oh well...my 30 year old gen set. Needs some tlc too. All ways some thing to repair. Even on new rigs. Seems it does not stop. Repair replace.Replace repair.
I live in Astoria OR. The RAIN DID NOT stop for 187 days. 2 days no RAIN.It has been hard to work on my RV. We are all tired of the RAIN.Been cold here too.
Ya that's the way it goes lol. Geez thats a long stretch, we can get rain non-stop but there's always a day in there where it lets up. I think 187 days straight would get to me

You could have a crack in your fuel line going from gen to fuel tank and it could be sucking air. good luck

Also i have seen people clamp clothes pins on the end of the gutter and the water will follow it out and away from the side of the RV.
