- I wanted a simple and quick method of moving my table saw blade guard up and down to suit my material I was machining. I found that the only way to achieve this considering the position of my saw up against a wall with an overarm to attach the blade guard was the best solution. This simple yet effective design incorporated in my adjustment bracket of the blade guard is a tried and trusted and works well. Follow me in this video step by step to see how I made this in my home workshop.

good system, i can use parts of this design in my own, cheers
Good video
Is is critical that the bottom of the hood ride very closely to the top of the work piece, or is the dust collection still largely effective even if there is an inch or two clearance above the stock?
@@michael.schuler it works best if you can adjust the dust guard as close to your material as possible, if you leave an inch or so gap the suction won’t be as strong, definitely. Hope you enjoyed it…👍
Good video also do you have a video of how you made the actual guard by any chance ?
No I haven’t, might be an opportunity down the track
Could you provide plans or at least measurements?
Disaster?
No.
Idiocy?
Yes.
In which part is the idiocy?
