@@lomdom8831 okay, in that situation you listen to your goalie because he may know which player he wants to shoot. If your goalie is not saying anything you stunt at the ball while covering the other defender. What you're trying to do is slow down the ball while not allowing the cross pass.
Have you watched our 2M preparation video yet? If not, I recommend that because that helped me with defenders who try to front. Also, you gave me a great idea for another video, the ride 'em out drill, so look for that one soon. Excellent, thank you very much Shaquatics Water Polo. Looking forward to more videos. We're down at JO's right now and appreciating what we've learned from your videos. I'm most grateful for this video. If you're looking for ideas for another video --and I hope I'm not being a bother -- there is another dimension to water polo that to us seems unique to the sport, which is the refereeing. Our team got beat badly by a team with mediocre fundamentals but fantastic "flopping" skills. We were regularly getting excluded even when our defenders kept their hands in the air the entire time they were guarding their men. We were also unable to draw kick outs even while being swarmed and letting go of the ball with inside water. Is there a way to manage the refs to keep this sort of thing manageable?
You're not being a bother, I love to hear ideas of what people are curious about or need to learn. My initial reaction is every sport has bad referees, it seems water polo has more than its fair share. To be fair to the refs though, it is a hard sport to referee. I would hope that this would be a one off type of thing, and that you would have better refs in your other games. I'll give some more thought to your question, and see if there's something we can do to help.
Can you do a drive offense video
