My family and I have been tent camping at Campbell Cove for the past few years. It is our all-time favorite campground. You guys forgot to mention how many and how clean the showers and bathrooms are! The best site there is the tent 63, under the pines and right on the lake.
Just found y’all’s channel…and I love it! Campbell Cove is definitely a hidden gem! In April 2023, I camped there in the back of my pickup truck. The tent camping is 🔥! Showers were legit. Definitely enjoyed this place more than my reservation at Hocking Hills State Park (quieter, cleaner, & less people).

I live in the Hocking Hills but I never camp here because being so close to all of it. Conkles Hallow rim trail is our favorite…….very scenic not for those who cannot climb thou. Lake Hope has some decent affordable cabins, a lake to fish, swim and boat on….It has a gun range and archery range also…trails to hike and bike on. Unfortunately a lot of their campsites are small out of date and not large rig friendly. Lake Snowden is a smaller campground privately owned by the Hocking College. It is near Athens , where OU campus is near. If you ever want a nice place to camp try the campgrounds near Mohican State Park….lots of river action with kayaks, many person river floats. Off weekends are best because the holidays are packed and lots of partying. I truly enjoyed your video and especially the new lodge….thank you.
@@AdventureBandits1 Have you tried Scenic Hills in Berlin Ohio….Amish country….the campground is run by Mennonites…..very clean, quiet and if you camp there go to the lower sites which have grass whereas the upper sites are gravel…… Plenty of shops to visit, Amish restaurants and beautiful farms that make me feel like a sloppy caretaker…lol…allllll their homes, barns and properties are so well maintained and very clean….. Also check out Rocky Fork St Park campground….if you get a site on the lower left as you drive in you have a pretty view of the lake inlet. In Bainbridge is a Amish pastry shop with great Sammie’s and yummy fry pies that are loaded with fruit. Go early because there’s always a line…..down the road is a Amish market / gift shop. Good foods, bulk items and deli meats and cheeses. This weekend is a new adventure for us….Stonelick St Park…have you been there?

I went to Hinckley Lake in Hinkley Township, Medina County Ohio to go kayaking and had an amazing time. I thought about you two.. You should go there because the customer service is sooo good and it was a fun experience! It would be a great episode and It’s such a beautiful lake. It’s only 20 dollars to rent a Kayak..

I like the state parks more but I like any RV park that has a lot of wooded area and some type of body of water. But the pave surface would be nice for rainy days.
I love the hocking hills cave, I wanna go to that state park next when I can. That visitor center looks amazing too, I wasn't able to go inside of it last time cuz I had Buddy with me without my stroller for him
Good move by skipping the state park. We won't ever stay there again. The park map claimed there was a bathroom right across from our campsite. It turned out to be a multiple stall outhouse with a roof and privacy walls, but otherwise completely exposed to the outdoors. We have a pop up and the smell from this archaic dinosaur permeated most of the sites around it. It was loaded with mosquitoes and spider as well. That also meant that we had to drive to the pool, where the only real bathroom was, to take a shower. Our site also seemed to collect ponds of water when it rained. Love the place you guys found and I'd stay there next time. Hocking Hills is a beautiful area to visit.
Oh wow that's not good. We love state parks buy go to the ones we know is big rig friendly. Also it didn't help our original reservation got canceled which was a site we were sure we could fit. You would like the park Campbell Cove very open clear markings. Safe travels
Hocking Hills waterfalls normally active during April/May and Jan/Feb. The first waterfall you seen is (Upper Falls). If you had continued on the (Grandma Gatewood) (Buckeye Trail) past Old Man's Cave, you would have seen (Lower Falls) and (Broken Rock Falls).
You know what I saw that and said why? I didn't know what to think maybe it's a photo opp gadget. 😳 still a nice park so I can't discount it for that only. But your are so right. Thanks for watching 👀 and noticing

Congratulations to your daughter, Ashanti! Great vlog! I love the Hocking Hills area but haven't been on the trails in a while. I remember the rock house. My feeling is that area you cannot spend just a weekend. There is just so much to do, you need to spend multiple days. I have to say I go towards state parks but since COVID, they seem very busy and difficult to get in. I completely understand about April and May, especially with West Branch. I will actually be going up to the state a couple of folks flew in from in August (AK!) and cannot wait! Cruising but would LOVE to rent an RV and drive. Okay, I could go on. Thank you for the vlog!
Patrick I agree! You can't just stay a weekend. You have to stay multiple days to see everything. We wanted to stay longer. We should have went to the state park.

If we had to do it all over again we would go in two different directions. 1 buy a toy hauler instead but would need a bigger truck 350 or 450 bigger option 2 buy a deluxe B class used because they cost and travel even further but faster smaller option The winner would be the price point We have not gotten the door fix crazy huh. Our service representative has it arriving next monday . Crossing fingers we get it prior to Glampout.

Just FYI most state parks give significant discount if you are disabled. We have gotten 1/2 off in California & Oregon state parks.
From what I hear Ohio SP are free for disable vets.
Best pizza place is hands down Pizza Crossing!!! Most scenic trails is Cantwell Cliffs hands down

Hocking Hills waterfalls normally active during April/May and Jan/Feb. The first waterfall you seen is (Upper Falls).
If you had continued on the (Grandma Gatewood) (Buckeye Trail) past Old Man's Cave, you would have seen (Lower Falls) and (Broken Rock Falls).
We will definitely be returning to check put lower falls. Thanks for the information.

Congratulations to your daughter, Ashanti! Great vlog! I love the Hocking Hills area but haven't been on the trails in a while. I remember the rock house. My feeling is that area you cannot spend just a weekend. There is just so much to do, you need to spend multiple days. I have to say I go towards state parks but since COVID, they seem very busy and difficult to get in. I completely understand about April and May, especially with West Branch. I will actually be going up to the state a couple of folks flew in from in August (AK!) and cannot wait! Cruising but would LOVE to rent an RV and drive. Okay, I could go on. Thank you for the vlog!
Patrick I agree! You can't just stay a weekend. You have to stay multiple days to see everything. We wanted to stay longer. We should have went to the state park.

Thank you for your support all the way from IL. If we had to do it all over again we would go in two different directions. 1 buy a toy hauler instead but would need a bigger truck 350 or 450 bigger option
2 buy a deluxe B class used because they cost and travel even further but faster smaller option

Hi. Thanks for your channel. When you were in the Hocking Hills OH area, how close was the state park to the campgrounds? We have a class C and won't have other wheels. Can you walk to the state park from any of the camping areas? Like a mile or less? Thanks for answering!
You may want to stay at the State park campground which is in walking distance of Old Man's cave. Campbell Cove CampGround is 30 minutes away.

We prefer private for the amenities most of the time... but they almost ALWAYS cost more
