Seriously guys, if you didn't have the time to read the book thoroughly, why bother reviewing the book and commenting just from analyzing and guessing a few lines of the content taken from the book as well as looking at other people's reviews. After you read the book thoroughly, then come back and watch this video and listen to what you guys are saying, you would find your own misinterpretation and would apologize to the people that have their life changed because of the book.

I agree...guys, you can do better than this. I have been following yous since the 1st vid and find the contents solid and helpful, except this episode ( some out of points). Imagine someone reviewing Cafe Money channel just base on the thumbnails but never watching any episode. So the saying goes: never judge a book by its cover (in this case chapter title). Nevertheless, I will still tune in and looking forward to better episodes.

Because experience > knowledge from a book. They’re all very successful and they’re all millionaires so they can speak from experience. Who has time to read nowadays? I have so many books and choose rather to watch videos for knowledge

100% with you. I watched all of their vdo but this one got me a little. The beauty of this book is the language used and pictures/stories it paints along the way. Fair enough its basic principal but it is an essence of being wealthy. Book also gave sample of mistakes the man made and tax systems and all. Yes, fictional but wasn't it one of the great books with stories to keep readers excited with his journey?

So... I didn't finish the video because I need to get on with the day. However, here is my tip for all beginners: only use cash (yep, that money printed by governments) for your daily expenses such as food and drink. Restrict your use of credit cards to ones that give you cash back and then use them only for items where you can't pay cash. Then pay off the credit card balance in total every month. If at all possible NEVER PAY BY CHECK -- it's way to expensive.

This book is life changing. That, plus Automatic Millionaire book, Your Money or Your Life, Millionaire Next Door and Ken's videos re Tesla last year 😍 our family tree is changed!

It's a pity that you haven't read the book first. Many of the criticism was covered in the book. The Richest Man of Babylon is definitely for complete beginners, but it's a great start for everyone currently losing financially, even more than Rich Dad, Poor Dad.

As a coach and ex-trainer I gave this book to my oldest child the day she started earning money at 18 (yes she not work till 18:) and because she lived with me rent free through college that little shit has a bigger Roth account then her dad lol. I truly think people would rather have instant gratification then understand a penny saved is a penny earned.
    READ THIS BOOK,period.

Started investing since June this year, I've been investing 39%ish and save 25%ish of my salary. I prefer watching videos on investment than reading books. That's where I found your channel and have been support since then.
The knowledge taught & shared by y'all are priceless! 📚
Million thanks for such an amazing content !

If are living near the poverty line, think about how to earn more money. If you earn above the poverty line, then all you need to do is decrease your expenses.

I set a budget of 100$ a month to spend only, yes I live in Singapore :). So far so good, not spending nothing on working days (work at hotel) and cook myself at home on off days, hawker center meal is considered a treat and I feel satisfied as much as those treating themselves at fine dining restaurant. Anyone wanna challenge me or nah

  • @ntartaris
    @ntartaris 2 ปีที่แล้ว

I think you guys are missing fundamental points here. You are taking the principles too seriously! By Pension, they mean have means to fund your retirement. In other words, you need to think beyond your youth and years where you have the ability to work hard. If that means earning so much in your working years that it funds your retirement, then so be it. But at least it is telling you to think beyond your youth and to think to save/finance/support retirement. Not just keep spending money in the good years. You need to think what the principle is trying to teach you, and not take the example too literally.

Not to put hate on you guys, i understand you preach about wealth and finance but to say the least, I would never go cheap on what I eat mainly because health is my priority and i would want the best meals i can provide for my body. Some people they go so cheap on food but theyre forgetting that food is the best medicine. If you go cheap on food and eat cheap unhealthy choices, youll realize someday that prioritizing health is much more important than wealth. Health is wealth. Thats all i gotta say guys. Keep up the good work still!

I do want to disagree with owning your own home. Depending on your situation, the down payment plus cost of repairs/maintenance can be a significant slowing down of your investment potential. If you're young, stay in a crappy apartment (or share) and invest the rest.
    Also Happy Birthday Benny 🎉

I love everyone on the show but I have to say it’s kinda lazy not to listen to the audio book. The books only 100 and something pages. It’s the short stories the characters tell with every lesson take keeps it’s interesting and you’ll definitely miss context in Cole Notes versions.

I'm glad you guys glanced (lol) at the book but it is a great book for beginners. Even if you are a teenager with an allowance, many of the principals work. It's not a book for advance people, but for most people as simple as the are it is hard for most. Some of the points you made were addressed and expanded on in the book but that is why reading will reveal more. It's a very quick read and fun for a topic that that affects the life of the reader.
